This is why I sometimes refer to Trump as the Trojan Horse (reform party) to the Republican party. Ironically, its starting to look like Hope Hicks is the Trojan Horse to the Trump Administration. wrbtrader

How the hell did *she* catch it?? (Sorry: new to the thread. This bit of snark has probably been covered.... )
Another drain the swamp promise Chumpie broke - to end completely the carried interest expense deduction that Wall Street loves so much.
I'm a 4-decade Res Publica(n), and have been aware of Orange Dump since 1984, and thought him a grotesque clown then, and have seen no reason to change that assessment since. Your assessment (FWIW) matches my own. I pray that one day, MY Republican Party will find its testicles once again, and act like they give a shit. I'm not *seeing* it, but .... I can hope.
I hope they do too. Thing is that you and I have far more beliefs in common than either you and the enthusiastic Trump voters or me and the enthusiastic Sanders voters. Yet we claim different parties. Hmmm.....
Pence "smooth"? As an Indiana resident, let me say that Pence is like polished concrete -- great if you want to slide around, but denser-than-shit if you're trying to get some movement or thinking. As a presidential possible, I would rank Pence as to be worse than Orange Dumpf.
No surprise. We pay attention to the bottom line. Economics. Accounting. "Maths." That is pretty boring stuff to rabid ideologues, no matter their stripe.
A political party will act according to the voters that elect them. IOW, the GOP has become what you have demanded they become ... not you personally, per se. As long as guys like Mitch McConnell are running the show, the show will be about his personal agenda. You can hope that someone else will spark change; or you can be that spark. Seriously: good luck!
