My biggest concern about Biden is that he, Pelosi and Harris ALL are wanting to push through a financial transaction tax. It would very likely kill daytrading and swingtrading. Whether you like trump or not, at least he won't kill our livelihood with ftt. Democrats raise taxes. A lot. https://thehill.com/policy/finance/484433-financial-trade-tax-gains-traction-with-2020-democrats
Why don't you guys put Biden under the same scrutiny as Trump? What about his 47 year career as a politician and what he is going to do to the country if elected? What about his human qualities? It's all about socialism, welfare state and mob rule vs capitalism and personal responsibility, nothing else. Nothing to do with "military or covid-19 response". These are all excuses to vote socialism. What is Biden's take on military budget?
This worry is not well founded. Wall Street, which depends on market liquidity for its businesses, is betting more on Biden. Wall Street's Big Money Is Betting On Biden And Democrats In 2020
They will need a lot of money for their social engineering and welfare projects. And Wall Street traders are the easiest target of all. Never mind that it won't work.
Betting on his victory is not the same as supporting his socialist policies. 2 different animals. Is Wall Street going short?
Those who have a truly vested interest in the health of the market protecting trading profits have swung almost universally in favor of Biden. Trump's trade policies have been a disaster. Find me an American manufacturer who isn't a Trump puppet who will tell you Trump's policies haven't done far more harm to American manufacturing than good.
Biden is no more socialist than Reagan for crying out loud. You folks just keep lipping the conservative radio/Fox/Trump talking points. If Biden were a socialist we wouldn't have Obama Care. We'd have a real public option rather than the piece of corporate protectionism crafted under the Obama administration. Remember when we all had our guns confiscated under Obama? Yeah, me neither. Biden is the nominee because the Democratic party is the party of well-to-do, flush with money suburbanites and the professional managerial class. The Democrats now represent that part of the population previously represented by the Republicans. That is why Wall Street is backing Biden. That and the fact that intelligent highly educated people from good universities see that Trump is a true danger to the Republic, and as such, to capitalism and profits.
What makes you think we wouldn't do the same to Biden after 3 years as a sitting President ? His butt will be on the hot seat in year 4 (re-election) including his vice president Harris if hell breaks lose again (e.g. health crisis, civil unrest) and she decides to run for President. That's fairness. For the record...guess which President created a welfare state ? It started with via a Democrat President name Franklin Delano Roosevelt under what's known as the New Deal...the first form of American Welfare after the Great Depression...something the Republicans weren't able to deal with nor manage the Great Depression which is the reason why FDR won a record 4 consecutive presidential terms. After that...Amendment XXII was created (pushed by the Republicans) to limit a President to only two terms. Later, Social Security (another form of welfare) was formed during FDR stint as President. Social Security is when workers pay into the program while they are younger and then receive guaranteed lifetime income after retirement. Not a big deal at the time considering the life expectancy was much shorter than it is today. Yet, today, some now call Social Security a form of Socialism. If Social Security is socialism...you're late to the game. It was all formed before you were born. After that, a Democrat President Lyndon B. Johnson extended it under what's known as food stamps although other welfare programs formed between those two Presidents. As someone stated correctly, Biden is no more a socialist than Reagan was a socialist. Almost forgot to mention...Democrat President Bill Clinton fulfilled his vow to “end welfare as we know it,”. It's fair to say: mission accomplished. The old U.S. welfare system is dead although I'm not sure what he did beyond just reforming it. Now about Wall Street...I think you need to sit down and educate yourself about how capitalism or Wall Street changes hands with whom they think can help fatten their pocket. By the way, there's nothing wrong with that...its capitalism. Simply, do not be delusional about the Welfare state / Socialism but I had to fact check your welfare / socialism state comment. Also, if you think it has nothing to do with Covid-19 response (that started before the civil unrest)...you're greatly mistaken about Trump and his administration involvement or inappropriate involvement with the United States response to Covid-19. This all happen under the Trump administration...its his watch. They rather play the blame game and can not even protect their own President nor protect America's national security (hint - Russia). That's the true absurdity of this all...look where he's at right now...Walter Reed military hospital. Geeesh...wake up. wrbtrader
If he was not socialist he would have been Republican instead of sharing the party with the hard core left radical like Bernie and adopting their talking points. Biden is just their figurehead. Once they have him installed they will use him as a pliable tool to implement their radical policies. One step at the time. Did they endorse Biden?
