I can't control the composition of the jury or whether he is released on bond or whether he is out on appeal for three years until a dem administration can potentially give him a good conduct medal and pardon him or whether the government is bullshitting about the evidence they have on him, etc, etc. Otherwise he is already experiencing more than "zero" and is scheduled for some serious and risky court action and is in a slammer and be in the slammer while all that is going on. So even if he ultimately skates he more than zero will happen to him. What will still work against him is if the government fails to get a conviction but nevertheless shows a pattern of gang related actions and affiliations the government can probably still prevail on a deportation. Just so that there are no secrets, I will concede that this bit about deporting to El Salvador and having the country hold him for the Americans is complete bullshit constitutionally. Also what is the end point of that? We are paying them to hold him and others? For how long? And upon what conviction. Although having said that, I am not exactly sure of the facts in the background. He is/was allegedly wanted in El Salvador for gang activity there so if he was just deported and was seized by the Salvadorans there, then that is a different matter. I don't know. And I don't have any problem with the courts pointing the rules of the road.
