Too late haha I scooped up DIS in last Spring in the $90s...that was a steal given its portfolio of assets. More room to go but lot of the expectations already priced in at all time highs...
Gina was punished for bringing in her personal beliefs that would damage the DIS brand that has obligations to shareholders and making money... All of you cancel bitches whining it is called capitalism...... if you dont like it.... STFU when you got a hit cable series and are about to get your own TV show for millions. People need to learn social media is not a joke and no one gives a fuck if you believe in conspiracy theories or are too stupid to not compare some political bickering to the torture and murder of millions.
In your mind, are there situations where discrimination against a protected class is warranted? How about situations where an employer don’t like an employee’s politics and that employee also happens to be a member of a protected class? Can you see how cancel culture is inherently discriminatory, now? Can you see how cancel culture tends to favor suppression of one ideology over another because many protected classes favor a particular political philosophy over the other? As an example of a real world application of this, beyond firing people for their political beliefs, involves myself. I’ve been thinking of replacing my older semi truck with a newer, more environmentally friendly, although more expensive to run, semi. Uncertainty about the direction of our country is headed, is causing me to delay my purchase. In of itself, this will have no economic impact. Multiply this by many other truckers, trucking companies, related support industries and completely different industries whose leaders share similar concerns and the economy will be impacted. Combine this economic impact with historically high government, business, and consumer debt loads while considering our dollar is becoming a laughing stock because of all the stimulus, and we may be looking at systemic failure. While systemic failure may result in Democrats getting ousted out of office one way or another, the damage will be done, with the political pendulum potentially swinging to far the other way. Personally, I don’t want a repressive, authoritarian government whether it is Liberal or Conservative based. My hope is the Biden Administration takes a reasonably balanced approach for the long term benefit of all of us. The first step in that direction would be the Biden Administration renouncing what happened to Gina while reminding all of us that, for the most part, we share common ideals and should strive to respect one another. I wish success to the Biden Administration and am happy to support their agenda, if their agenda is reasonably inclusive. I am not expecting perfection, but I expect and demand an honest effort by the Biden Administration to maintain the status quo upon which this country was founded upon. That is, people are entitled to individual freedoms as long as their neighbors are not unjustly harmed. If the Biden Administration achieves the preceding, with consumer and business confidence rising to higher levels, our economy will have the potential to go into overdrive, with the Democrats potentially being sincerely revered by most. Imagine that, voters actually looking forward to voting for their leader instead of feeling they have to decide upon the lesser or two evils. So which would you rather see, the continued planting of seeds of discontent or government working for all of its people?
My favorite was when GWB said we should investigate people without any proof of wrong doing, just questions. If he we ran the country like that, we’d have the fbi permanently stationed at the North Pole looking for Santa because 30 million kids believe Santa exists.
Well obviously Santa exists, because the DoD spends taxpayers money every year to track him on radar! Duh!
well, the attempt is to uproot the discontent and divisiveness that trump fomented. it is legal to discriminate against someone for their politics. It is illegal to discriminate against someone for a very specific set of criteria. The conservatives try to conflate issues but it’s pretty clear and there is a lot of common sense in the precedence. If you don’t rent to a protected class because they are a protected class (as you admitted you would do) that’s illegal. If you didn’t rent to someone who was in a protected class because their credit was bad, that would not be illegal. Political views are not protected.
I asked you about the Capitol killings, 70 police officers injured, many deaths - was it Antifa too? Always the whataboutism with you morons, can't answer a straight question.
You didn’t ask me about anything, stupid Fuckkkkkk.... Yup it was mostly Antifa. Show me one case where a Trump supporter killed someone at the Capitol Antifa Riot.
Please get in the habit of reading my posts more carefully. I gave an scenario of what would happen if I did advertised I would not rent to a protected class. To be more precise, I’ve never violated or attempted to violate fair housing or anti discrimination laws. By the way, a few states actually prohibit discrimination based on political beliefs. According to nolo.com: A few states explicitly prohibit employers from making job decisions based on an employee's or applicant's politics. In California, for example, employees are protected from discrimination based on their political affiliations and activities. New York and the District of Columbia have similar laws. Holy hypocrisy, Batman, those are the Bluest of the Blue states! What do you have to say on behalf of your ilk, now?
