and bringing awareness with a protest 100% of people can agree and easily dismiss or ignore is ineffective
What percentage of the south was offended by the Civil Rights Movement? Here's how you sound, "Fellow slaves, we must end this quest for freedom NOW! Because we are offending 100% of the slave owners!"
Most of those same people are confederacy supporters while complaining that kneeling disrespects US Troops.
I will not question the military personnel in North Carolina...great place. I've spent a lot of time (training) at Fort Bragg and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. My home base was Fort Campbell, Kentucky. As a former officer...my beliefs are not isolated to me. They involve my years with daily interactions with fellow soldiers and military personnel within my own family going all the way back to my grandfather. Yet, I had no interaction with my great grandfather except for his diary in which he specifically discusses the treatment of Indigenous soldiers, National Anthem and other situations (e.g. Spanish Flu Pandemic - Red Cross). Today, I am in consistent contact with several veterans organizations and soldiers still on active duty...abroad. My views are commonly shared especially among people of color within the military. The next time I'm visiting friends in North Carolina (a few retired and still living within miles of Fort Bragg)...I will pay attention to their reactions to kneeling if/when such occurs during a televised sport event although one in particular has already stated the sports announcer needs an ass whooping. Edit - I've differentiated two issues here...the kneeling in a non-violent protest and the racial slurs throw at the girls about their to kneeling during the National Anthem while the same was not thrown at the White players for doing the same. Simply, had the sports announcer stated he doesn't agree with the way the girls are expressing their freedom of speech...this wouldn't be a big deal in the world of sports in the state of Oklahoma. wrbtrader
Conservatives-Support our troops.Kneeling is disrespectful to our troops. Same conservatives-don't take down Confederate monuments, don't rename Confederate military bases.Robert E Lee and the confederacy are heroes. Conservatives-Back the blue, police are our heroes.I'm a patriot. Same Conservatives when it comes to supporting their racist white supremacist president. Conservatives love the troops, but its ok to murder them if they are fighting to end slavery .They also believe the treasonous terrorist murderers who kill US troops fighting to end slavery deserve monuments and are heroes. Conservatives love the police, but its ok to murder them if its in support of a racist white supremacist president.
Generally, just an evil, hateful, hypocritical group of people. Read these political forums to evidence that fact. But of course, they've convinced themselves that they're the good guys ... so that they can continue to sleep at night, and look in the mirror in the morning.
Lol.....read how these fully employed tax paying patriots spend their time.... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Proud Boys leader says members fight and then lick each other’s faces at their ‘magical’ events "At our national event, every year, we put a boxing ring together, or I rent an octagon, the guys put gloves on, and they just f*cking go ham on each other," he recalled. Sometimes "they don't even want to fight. They get drunk, they slap each others asses, they kiss each other on the f*cking cheek, lick each other in the f*cking face, you know? And I'm like, you guys were just f*cking calling each other the most stupidest thing just a month ago." He called the moments "magical." Vice News did an interview with Tarrio ahead of his prison sentence revealing that he plans to read the book "Secret Societies and Psychological Warfare" saying that he likes the insights into political movements. He's also going to work on his own book, "American Warlord," which he said he'll sell on a Proud Boys market site. Proud Boys leader Henry "Enrique" Tarrio thinks that he is a martyr in an ongoing crusade for extremist groups to use the First Amendment to harass and intimidate others. Now, however, he's headed to jail after stealing a Black Lives Matter banner from a historically Black Church and possessing two high-capacity magazines in Washington, D.C.
