I live in North Carolina. A state with many military bases and veterans. While you personally believe kneeling for the national anthem does not offend you --- this does not hold true for most of the military veterans and active serving members I interact with. This includes military veterans and personnel of every race and background. Keep in mind that I live in an area where a number of bars refused to show NFL games for a while due to the kneeling controversy. Back to the announcer -- I have already given my opinion that he should be terminated ... and provided the reasons why within context of standard corporate HR & legal processes.
The reason is not because protestors aren't protesting the way they are being told to protest; it's because those in power aren't timely addressing social justice issues, despite being aware of them. Here's how you sound, "When they protest in the way we tell them to, only then will we address police brutality." Again, whenever you're ready to debate to root of the problem, let us know.
