I mentioned it here in the political forum several times that him getting shot wouldn't surprise me. I suppose that isn't really a prediction. You're right, the debate sealed the deal, assuming Trump makes it to November.
I think someone's head or body part got in the way and Trump was hit with a fragment from that shot although Trump was the target. Sad day for America, and it reminds me of that guy at Trump's Hush Money trial who poured fuel all over himself...lighted himself on fire...suicide. He had protest signs about his dislike of Trump and Biden. He didn't like American politics. Both Trump and Biden will be in danger. Heighten security going forward. Also, there have been a few other assassination attempts of political rivals in other countries in the past year. Strangely, everybody was worried about Milwaukee, Wisconsin and this now has happened in Butler, Pennsylvania. In other words, it can happen in any city, suburb, or rural community in America...it does not need to occur in a violent crime city. #toomanycrazies wrbtrader
The shooter is conveniently, dead. Why didn't they try to take him alive? There were two other civilian victims, one has died, the other still in the hospital.
Nobody should be surprised by this. You could say the same about somebody targeting Biden. The FBI assassinated somebody in 2022 who was threatening and planning to go after him. There's crazy people on both sides of the spectrum.
