Trump has promised to bring prices down, sharply, 50% in some cases.

Yes, this is unrestrained capitalism working as designed. It's an up and down issue, not left and right. Unite.

h1b is an example of government over regulation. Companies should be able to hire anyone and move them anywhere.

Hopefully Trump will clear this bullshit red tape.

Absolutely. If capital can cross borders freely then so should labor be free to move. Open the borders!

The problem Trump has is appeasing the dumb asses in his MAGA cult while recognizing that a big chunk of the real strength in the US economy involves a lot of visa workers and new immigrants. If you cut off the international talent to IT etc they'll relocate operations ( plus the era of remote work makes this a lot easier to do ).

My bet is it's mostly iip service to the cult and ultimately Trump will renege on most of not all his promises to them. I mean, what did he really do in term one ? Are the MAGA types really paying lower taxes ? Are their health related costs really lower ?

Let's see how the 25% tariffs on Canada do. Are they real or will he backtrack on so much that they didn't really occur. Personally, I'd love to see him do it 100% and then watch as shit hits the fan in the US. Nothing like chaos as a teachable lesson for the MAGA crew. I heard 60% of the gas in the US midwest sources straight from Canada ( number may be off but it's a big number ). How are US auto makers going to compete with Toyota etc if all the Canadian and Mexican parts they use are 25% more expensive ? Will more expensive electricity impact poor or rich people more ?

Basically, I'd love to see Trump fk up in a very visible way because of that ultra large ego of his. Probably I can't get that lucky though he'll be blocked by Americans who care about things like jobs, consumer prices, and the taxes they collect from foreigners working in the US.

Aside from human rights abuses, the state run propaganda media, the freeloading, and the complete lack of a medical system, I suppose Canada is a great place.

Your ignorance is bountiful in nature. Funny how we supposedly have no medical system yet across the board Canadians outlive Americans by several years. I could get into your other points but frankly it's rather obvious the US has bigger issues than Canada on all of them.
