    Hmmmm ummmmm yep okay

And you actually believe what he says? They have talked about trade negotiations going very well 87 times already. It's a bunch of worthless dribble. It's not true. He is just saying it because this is the two day meeting he promised last month where he thinks trade war negotiations are going to be met, which they wont be. Maybe a tad of it might be settled but the whole entire trade war will not be so that's why all this nonsense talk about negotiations going "very well" is just fluff.

    Rightttttttttt. It's going well...haaaa

President Donald Trump gave an optimistic read on Thursday’s trade talks between the U.S. and China as the world’s two largest economies try to end a damaging trade war.

“I think it’s going really well. I will say, I think it’s going really well,” the president said before he left Washington for a campaign rally in Minnesota. “So we had a very, very good negotiation with China. They’ll be speaking a little bit later, but they’re basically wrapping it up and we’re going to see them tomorrow right here.”

If they were going soo damn well why didn't they just wrap it up today and call it a done deal instead of bringing in round 2 tomorrow.

  8. Traders/investors had better not act on what President Trump says until what he says has been confirmed by the Chinese side.

This president is a salesman. Full of superlatives and exaggeration. It's hard to trust salesman as they only want to portray their side of the story.

Futures up after trump optimistic about outcome. Imagine we get the deal tomorrow and stocks fall 2%. Maybe a trade deal will prevent the fed from cutting rates in November and December. Because they did say that an ongoing trade war would cause a global recession. Now if trade negotiations are settled once and for all, the global economy will boom again and the fed will be raising rates not cutting. So maybe trade agreements here would cause the fed to halt rate cuts in November and December which the markets were hoping for so much...uh oh. Big dilemma now!

U.S. stock futures traded higher Thursday night after President Donald Trump issued positive remarks on the U.S.-China trade talks.

Dow Jones Industrial Average futures were up 45 points, or 0.2% to imply a gain of around 75 points at Friday’s open. S&P 500and Nasdaq 100 also gained about 0.2% each.

Trump told reporters that talks between the two countries are going “really well.” His comments came after he tweeted earlier in the day he would meet with Chinese Vice Premier Liu He at the White House on Friday. That tweet was enough to temporarily assuage fears about a potential lack of progress from the talks.

The Dow rose as much as 257 points on Thursday before closing 150 points higher. The S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite climbed 0.7% and 0.6%, respectively.

Trump’s tweet came hours after a deluge of trade-related headlines Wednesday night gave investors whiplash. Some reports indicated the talks were stalling or were yielding little fruit. Others, however, pointed toward some sort of deal being made that would involve holding off on higher U.S. tariffs against China.

“Even a partial deal could be a huge boost for stocks, especially following this week’s scary headlines,” Ken Berman, founder of Gorilla Trades, said in a note. “The Chinese delegation is scheduled to leave Washington tomorrow, so another day of volatile swings might be ahead.”

The major stock indexes are little changed as investors await the outcome of the negotiations. The U.S.-China trade war has dragged on for more than a year. In that time, the U.S. has targeted billions of dollars worth of Chinese goods with tariffs. China has retaliated with levies of its own, sparking fears of slower economic growth and weaker corporate earnings expansion.
