Trump Recession

  1. call it whatever you want, you racist douchebag, as of now, we got the end of the short stick. we don't have the control and the discipline that Chinese have in their country. we got too many selfish assholes on both sides of the spectrum and on top of it a complete incompetent administration. our inability to react quickly and mobilize the power and capabilities of the Federal Government to address this pandemic head-on will cause us unfathomable amounts of pain. When a president takes his podium during a crisis like this to demean a journalist (i don't give a fuck just or unjust) instead of assuring the nation, "I've got this", we are left with no choice other than getting double fucked: Covid-19 and incompetent admin to handle it.

Trump forever believing he personally impacted on the economy and stock markets, gloating on his "success" publicly, will come back to bite him hard now. He literally said 5-6% GDP growth would be "easy". I saw a chart the other day and actual GDP growth in the US looks fairly flat for quite a few years running now, despite the tax cuts and growing federal deficit. The virus just is the final nail really and any recovery will be too late for him he's done.

Asked on CNBC about the record joblessness report, which totaled nearly 3.3 million people, Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin downplayed the report.

Said Mnuchin: “I just think these numbers right now are not relevant. Whether they’re bigger or smaller in the short term… the good thing about this bill is, the president is protecting these people.”

You trolls don't all realize yet... but your politics is going to be irrelevant soon.
The DNC will have no need to pay you.

    Without a vaccine...

In a few months... this world economy is going to be cratered if we continue with shutdowns.

We are going to have supply chain issues for all sorts of vital things... all over the world. even your mom's basements.

There is a chance the post office will not even be able to deliver the ballots on time here in the US. People are likely going to be too afraid to vote in person.

Right now there is a 50/50 chance the election will be postponed.

When we do vote... this is going to be about how Presidential Trump seemed at the nadir of this crisis.

Trump just has to show he is marshaling the countries resources well and be steadfast.
He has to give speeches about Americans sacrificing and overcoming. The enemy is fear...etc. Basically he needs to be ready to channel Churchill and Kennedy.

If he rises to the challenge... all your troll shit will be irrelevant.
All the left's legitimate gripes will be irrelevant.
All our other concerns will be irrelevant.

If Trump goes petty and small and plays the blame game.. any Democrat will be president.

    Its all in Trump's response.

  7. Postponed or worse.

My fear is that some rocket surgeon like AOC will propose that we go to online voting as an emergency measure "to protect people from the virus and help to maintain social distancing." With the suggestion that it could be implemented immediately. "Just have an app on Facebook" type of thing.

That idea would spread like wildfire and she would be nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. After all, what better way to get out the vote for a generation of clueless lefties who would not otherwise cross the street to vote.

online voting without serious and substantial verification measures would create a massive doubt about the results.

the person elected would face charges of being fraudulently elected and hence not illegitimate regardless of who won.

“Goldman Sachs has significantly downgraded its outlook for the US economy between April and June. The investment bank now expects an annualized rate of contraction of 34% compared to the previous quarter. The last estimate was an already-shocking 24%,” CNN reports.

“Goldman revised its forecast because it thinks the US labor market collapse will be even worse than anticipated. It now sees the unemployment rate rising to 15% by the middle of the year, compared to 9% before.”

There will be no postponement of the November elections. This thing will be so far in the rear view mirror soon that we will have nearly forgotten about this. Some social distancing and hand washing will remain.
