Nothing in the "Emergency Control of Police" section saying the federal government is allowed to replace the D.C. police commissioner. This is what the Trump administration is being sued over. The federal government can take control of the police for up to 30 days (more with Congressional approval.) during an emergency. They do not have the power to replace the D.C. police commissioner.

Let's start at point A -- in what reality is crime being at a 30 year low in D.C. an "emergency"? I will note that D.C. averages an average of 60 arrests per day -- this has dived below 30 per day after Trump had the Feds moved in (not counting the detentions of illegals in raids in D.C. (at the sole Home Depot, etc) which the Trump administration is trying to claim as arrests. How come the federal policing of D.C. such a failure? Arrests are down, crime is up based on the daily reports so far. The harassment of citizens for smoking a cigarette on their own property is now an issue. The only thing the administration has been able to do is clear up the homeless camps and round up illegals -- they are failing in every other crime measure.

There is crime in D.C. like many cities even though it is has comed own significantly. But like many red state cities, it does not need dictator trump to step in with a bullshit show of force. The citizens of D.C. may celebrate because there are unsafe areas but I will bet anything 2 things: 1. National Guard troops are mostly in the safe areas 2. It is a 30 day deployment and when trump has to pull them, he will state some bullshit how he turned D.C. from a crime ridden war zone into a safe place and his magturds will praise him.
