It is ironic that after the US has tried at great cost to isolate countries like North Korea and Iran and punish others like Russia it has come full circle to isolate itself.
Talk about shooting itself in the foot.
If Dump thinks he can bully the rest of the world including old allies he is a bigger idiot than I thought.
Expecting to get support for his policies from the usual countries is no longer a given proposition. As far as they are concerned he can take flying leap into the hole he has dug for himself and learn some respect and humility.
Hopefully the US citizens will wake up to the monster they have elected sooner rather than later. His rhetoric may please the red necks folk in the Appalachian mountains but it pisses off the rest of the world.

I think America will prosper with some trade protectionism. But Americans will not. The middle class’s quality of life is totally financed by cheap Chinese labor while American businesses have an unfair disadvantage in the global economy.

Of course the Republican Party will tell you that if American businesses prosper so will Americans, that’s true to some extent but you have to believe in trickle down economics to think it will benefit the middle class more than slave labored produced foreign goods.

international relations are really just business. bullying, for lack of better word, is the very nature of a superpower... or perhaps leveraging is a better term?

there is no such thing as 'isolation'.... it's all business, and Trump is just to get better terms for america.

The lefty media wants to put a negative spin on everything he does. Pulling out of Paris, TPP, Iran deal.... these are not isolation moves. these are moves to getting out of bad deals done by previous admins.

trickle down does happen to a certain extent.... what we have now is the technology advancement has caused the wealth to be super concentrated in a smaller group of billionaires... (not saying it's a problem by itself).

employment numbers and wages are both growing though.... even though the latter may not be as much as many have hoped.

To friends and supporters in the more neutral Rest of the World it is a major embarrassment trying to explain Dump's antics but to others in the anti US areas it is a death sentence.

In Europe unemployment is going to historical lows nowadays and salaries rise. But we don't have a magician like Trump.
In plain English: It is is not a result of Trump, it is just economy that is booming, and by accident it happens while Trump is president.
But politicians always tell it's is their merit... except if things go wrong, because then it is somebody elses fault. And simple people believe this.

this I buy to a certain extent.... easy money policy accounts for most of it.

however, fiscal policies and regulations do make a difference. Obama's energy policies and regulations and obamacare were all head winds, so in the US the economy expanded despite obama. Right now all Trump's moves have been tail winds.

so similarly Europe can be interpreted similarly... the easy money zero interest is the dominant tail wind, then you can make your own judgement if the other government policies are tail or head winds.
