on NK, so far he's batting 100 here, with ISIS and middle east and moving the Israel capital... 6 month is fine.... benefit of the doubt ok? considering he's batting 100?

on Tariff, also batting 100 here with China already, so why not europe, japan, canada, mex.. benefit of the doubt ok?

another poster summed it up better... nobody is perfect, some of Trump's plan will work, some not so much, but he is coming up with plans and taking actions.

the left however, have no message, no plan, no agenda, no nothing, just pointing fingers from the sidelines.

The U.S. hasn't been ripped off. Only in Trump's made-for-TV rhetoric is that true. U.S. corporations have profited mightily from having a huge military force standing by to defend corporate interests and maintain a world-dominating U.S. hegemony, not to mention the incredible profits of the U.S. military industrial complex. For example, virtually all of the billion dollars given to Israel each year returns to the U.S. military industrial complex. Think of Israel as just the halfway point on your tax dollars journey from your pocket to Lockheed Martin.

    - so where does $800b deficit come from?
    - and more importantly - so you are not a US citizen then? no surprise if you have this view... but if you are an American, what is wrong with your president fighting for your benefit?

  4. The last time I had a serious financial dispute with someone trying to rip me off I discussed it with a steel chair, a can of gas and a fire extinguisher. I understand the use of threat and being a bit radical in negotiations to get results (in Colombia mind). Bad men don't scare me.I'm not really very hippy liberal.

I am old and bold enough to know stupid populism when I see it. And populism ruins everything. Low hanging fruit (as if ISIS was not already done under Obama), NK did not *matter to anyone but Trump and why the F does anyone give a shit about Israel anyway? What have they done to bring stability to the middle east? Cost money and gave nothing back. Zionism.. bad idea that amplified religious fanaticism on both sides. Possibly helped trigger the Holocaust itself.

The middle Eastern Arabs were rapidly becoming secular like western Christians until some took a crap in their pool by imposing Israel. And think about all the great work Israel does to protect Christians being exterminated in the region as a result of these tensions.. or is that nothing whatsoever?

Screw their embassy, it matters nothing. Low hanging fruit.

But understanding how deficits work does so you have some reading to do.

    * Putin gave him 60s era rocket engines from a Russian boneyard allowing this leap forward Trump reacted to.

well - if you have to argue everything that way, then we'll be going in circles without end.

bottom line is - Trump is fulfilling his campaign promises, and the voters put him in the office on what he promised.

Many will disagree, that's why we have an election system.

It's not 800 billion. That's a made-for-TV number pulled out of Trumps ass. Come back with the correct number and we can chit chat. By the way, do you know what the U.S. trade deficit is with Canada? (Careful, it's a trick question.)

I'm guessing that you don't know that the down side to the tremendous advantage the U.S. gained when Dexter White pushed through at Bretton Woods, over Keynes Objections, the dollar as the reserve currency, is that the U.S. was de facto committing to running deficits in its current account.

Welcome to Trump’s post-truth world. Discussion based on non-facts are emotive and non-rational.
For better or for worst Trump satisfies an emotional craving for his loyalists.

I can use the statement on you... except it's not 'denial of reality', because 'perception is reality', which comes back to - why we have an election system.
