So long as Trump continues to lie and insult our closest allies he will be ceding the moral high ground for himself and his party. He is a disgrace!

I just heard his spokesperson thoroughly insult Trudeau in the most childish and undiplomatic way. Furthermore, Trump should be careful. The U.S. has a substantial trade SURPLUS with Canada. Trump could be putting that at risk. The news today quoted trump saying we have an 800 Billion trade deficit with our trading partners. That, as with pretty much all Trump's numbers is wrong, and a 60% exaggeration. No one knows how he came up with that number. Out of his ass apparently.

my naive friend... the allies go as far as there is something in it for them... look when Trump pulled out of Paris, and now he's trying to get Europe to pay more for NATO... once the cheese is moved, people stop being allies.. lol.

Turn off MSNBC please.. it's indeed killing your brain cells.

I'm a Libertarian, so my political philosophy, in general, lies well to the left of today's Republican party, which is best described using Nome Chomsky's term -- "Anarcho-Capitalists." I find plenty to criticize in the Democratic party's positions , but frankly the embracing of Trump, a national embarrassment, by the Republican party has made me lose all respect for the party. Of course there are individuals withing the party that have managed to hang on to their integrity, and I can respect them..

Opel is now part of PSA, GM sold it in 2017. GM still sells some very cheap models with Chevrolet labels which are just rebranded Korean Daewoos and they're competing with Romanian and Russian cars - the bottom brands.

But as you said, Trump is just playing on the ignorance or rather stupidity of his supporters. It seems most Americans actually do think all BMWs and Toyotas come from Germany and Japan.

And what about countries that followed the US in its adventures of violence into Afghanistan and Iraq AND pay the required part of GDP for the military? Large amounts of funds were wasted just to satisfy the aggressive needs of neoconservative Americans.
Now Trump is saying, "thanks for your help but we just used you".
So yes, Europe should spend money elsewhere instead of trying to please an unreliable partner.

It's Trumpy. Nothing to do with liberals or their media choices.

Nasdaq did not grind higher, I'm actually surprised. Perhaps Trump is insulting Kim's hair behind closed doors and the QQQ's are selling off. I'm not out of the woods yet, but certainly green. Only 17 handles to my favor from 2707, looking to cover around 2113 or so.

    Are you an American citizen?

if yes, then why do you care about the other countries?
if no, then remember Trump is the president of the USA and its citizens, not of the other countries.
