  2. Cut it out! Audi, Mercedes and BMWs are more expensive than American made cars and people in the US are buying them hand over fist! Trust me These trade wars will not end up well, this guy is an idiot. Clinton managed to clear the deficit without all this stupidity. :fistbump:

I don't need the media to tell me Trumpy is idiot. His own words exemplify it time and time again. Sorry friend. That is reality.

I agree with first part. And if you said Clinton and Republican Congress the second part also.

  6. Well, then maybe you can trust this guy; a known republican strategist Steve Schmidt who said "TRUMP disgraced the Presidency and the United States at the G-7 summit. From his slovenly appearance to his unpreparedness, ignorance and arrogance, he beclowned himself. The Republican majority is filled with cowards who are servile supplicants to the most unfit POTUS ever"

Wake up and smell the coffee!:sneaky:

  8. The nuts thing here is there are TONS of American manufacturer cars in Europe. Ford, GM, Chevrolet etc. sell in massive numbers as well as owning several famous European brands.

It is just the European models don't sell in the US because traditionally Americans like automatics, leaf spring suspensions like on stage coaches and extra-cheap plastic interiors.

Until very recently US cars were hopelessly backward guzzlers but they finally dropped the we don't care about Japan or Europe dogma and learned to copy. That is paying off in China sales for Caddy where it does not have the grandad/expensive whale reputation in the West. They have finally made some decent cars copying/competing with the Euro makers.

The BMW Spartenburg plant in South Carolina is the biggest BMW factory in the world, employing 10,000 people and exporting out of the U.S.

Tuscaloosa County Alabama, U.S.A, is the production location of the Mercedes-Benz GLE SUV, GLS SUV, the C-Class for the North American market and the GLE Coupe.

So except for select models there is no need to ship. Same as US makers in Europe.

    Agreed.
The BMW Spartanburg plant exports a huge amount of cars, X-class BMWs are everywhere here (EU) and the ones are all from the US plant. With the trade wars, I expect the production to come back to Europe.

US makers in Europe are somewhat different in that the model line for Ford is significantly different, most models don't exist in the US and are designed by Ford Europe. Many Europeans probably think Ford as British...

GM doesn't really have much of a presence in Europe at all. Opel was the main German maker bought by GM but that's not Peugeot's.
