He campaigned as a fascist. If he rules as a fascist the more than half who didn't vote for him will deal with him. You created a rod for the backs of men far better than you are with more to lose, and they will so. Laugh it up Captain.

  2. The only fascists I saw were the ones who nixed a primary, threatened a sitting president to get out or else, then appointed a candidate who the people of said fascist party thoroughly rejected as evidenced by millions of them voting for the other guy or just staying home. What we witnessed was facisim being defeated.

That's exactly how fascism manipulates perception. You’ve been led to believe that fascism is just about "bad people" you don’t like. But it’s much more insidious. The term originates from fasces, a bundle of sticks symbolizing strength through unity. In practice, those "sticks" are the dear leader strongman, an oligarchy, and a subservient military, police, or paramilitary force. Together, they enforce control.

Fascism thrives on identifying an enemy, be it Mexicans, people with freckles, or anyone else convenient, and weaponizing a sense of grievance. This formula isn’t new. It dates back to the ancient Greeks and earlier, and it remains effective because it preys on fear and anger, exploiting just enough people to seize power.

The aftermath is always the same: chaos, destruction, and the loss of better men and women who stood against it. And when it’s all over, you’ll look back and think, I should have seen it coming. But by then, the damage will be done. Recognizing the formula before it takes hold is the only way to stop it.

The simple truth is this: you’ve misunderstood how U.S. political parties function. They’re rooted in parliamentary traditions, where primaries are not synonymous with democracy, they’re simply a process. When you were told over and over that a coup was happening, you believed it without question. And that’s how perception is manipulated.

  4. That's some serious pretzel logic you got yourself twisted up with, but it's not what happened. What happened isn't all that complicated. The people, democrats, rejected what the democratic leadership is selling. They rejected what the democratic party had become. A party that has broken too many promises, made too many excuses for too long.
What the leadership and excuse makers like yourself are having difficulty with is the circumstances under which this rejection was delivered, again by democrats, not Republicans. Their own people decided to sit this one out or actually vote for Trump, and they made this decision while having the opportunity to "make history". To accomplish something the democratic party had been dreaming of for years and years, elect a female president, AND, in this caseva female of color. The two top boxes checked. Instead they stayed home or went the other way. Devastating, and it has rocked the leadership to its core.
Leadership decided to abandon a consistent, always dependable black vote for illegals. Leadership sees this as the future. That decision had consequences. Inexplicably democratic leaders cannot get their heads around the Trans issues of no men in women's sports and stay away from the kids. This is the lowest of low hanging fruit, should be no debate, no disagreement, easy peasy, yet party leadership is "confused" on what to do. Add in leadership is now advocating wars rather than peace, which was another democratic staple, well, it ain't hard to figure out why the people said, nah, we're good without your nonsense.

The fascists took your brain and pretzled it to see it that way. Now you think choosing a poison that seems new to you is better than yesterday's boiled cabbage. The Dems have issues, Trump is not the solution.

This is what fascists do, it's been a similar formula for basically thousands of years. It's not new poison either, hardly a different color.

I hope I am wrong, sincerely, and it ends up better than Germans saying that "OK, tens of millions died but we got the Autobahns".

  6. You are right about the dems...

but the writing on the wall is trump is defintiely not going to be able to deliver on his promises as well and stumble as he hits 80 and the GOP will suffer the same fate. One thing on trump's side is the inflation and wars have been going on for 2 years and normal cycles means both will be subsiding which trump can take credit for. Other than that, the people who voted agaisnt their own interests will probably have a come to Jesus moment as well.

As bad as 2024 election was, 2028 will be a shit show since both parties have to nominate a new person (JD not going to get the the nomination since he will be penced at some point).

2028 is where we all pay the bill for having such shitty leaders.

This is good..both parties need a clean out.

The people will simply get worse and forget idealistic striving goals. There won't be a bounce to sanity in 2028.

History is clear, the bad wins for a long time.

  10. Oh no I expect a far worse election in 2028....GOP will aged out like the dems did now and dems still will be fighting over identity politics and pick the wrong candidates to win NY and CA (which already vote blue).

    Time to cash out!
