Washington CNN — Donald Trump said Friday he doesn’t care about prosecuting Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, after attendees at his rally chanted “lock her up.” After the chants started at the President-elect’s post-election “thank you” rally in Michigan, he responded, “That plays great before the election – now we don’t care, right?” The chant “lock her up” became a common occurrence at Trump’s rallies while he was running for president. During the presidential campaign, Trump pledged to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate Clinton for her use of a private email server while she was secretary of state. Despite the fact that FBI director James Comey recommended over the summer against criminal charges for Clinton for the server use, Trump told Clinton during a debate that if he were president, “you’d be in jail.” However, once Trump became President-elect, he said he wouldn’t recommend prosecution of Clinton, whom he told New York Times reporters has “suffered greatly.” He also said the idea of prosecuting Clinton is “just not something I feel very strongly about.”
What moves did Trump make against Hillary, who one would have to believe was guilty based upon the investigation that Jim Comey outlined in his press conference?
Who the fuck cares what 'he' said, his DOJ got her investigated for two years. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-trump-investigation-idUSKBN1Z905V A U.S. Justice Department inquiry into Republican allegations of misconduct at the department and the FBI, including its handling of investigations related to 2016 Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, effectively ended without tangible results, the Washington Post reported on Thursday.
If Trump would have wanted to make a move, he would have gotten it done. You folks don't understand Trump. He's an extremely decent man.
You don't understand how the DOJ works or how the FBI works. Multiple people in the administration refused to carry out his illegal diktats including Comey, Sessions, Wray, Barr and many others. The executive branch doesn't decide the law, what he 'wanted' is irrelevant given court precedent, prosecution precedent and Congressional oversight. You are a joke.
