  3. Trump voters don't care what he says behind their backs. As long as he tells them what they want to hear when he speaks publicly.

His presidency is a study in white privilege because there is NO WAY that Obama could have done even half of what Trump has done wrong. And he certainly couldn't have bungled his way into almost 200,000 lost American lives without the wrath of Republicans in congress or what was then the Tea Party.

It's probably a study in white male Republican, though, because if this had been the result of a Hillary Clinton presidency Republicans would be screaming that this is why we can't have a female president and there wouldn't be another for 200 years.

I was discussing similar with my daughter, had Hiliary been president and even if it was just 20k dead or something, the Republicans would be gone insane.

They killed over a million for 3k, now 300+ k will be just broken eggs.

As many see it, Wallet, the results show that he either did not do much until very late, and then not in a very effective way, or else he was extraordinarily inept. I personally believe he did not know what to do, and was too proud to ask. He promotes himself as a stable genius who knows everything. How could he be seen asking for advice!

We all witnessed what happened. Response to the pandemic became highly politicized, Democrats wore masks, Republicans didn't (How ridiculous is that!). The States were left on their own. When they asked for help, they received it, but often very late, and often it fell short of their true needs. The Nation failed, and the blame has to fall squarely on the shoulders of the man at the top. There is an abundance of evidence that not only did the president fail miserably to lead a highly coordinated response, but he actually interfered with our agencies that are crucial to an effective response! His performance on this issue is nothing short of dismal.
