Because under Trump the US had the most cases and most deaths,even more than the country it originated. He also recklessly help spread it with opposition to safety measures ,Covid super spreader campaign rallies and completely ignoring the virus and focusing 100% of his energy to his re election.

Not really, but close enough. He has used an appeal to authority argument several times because of the achievements of others. In the beginning of the Coronavirus thing he was making arguments and demanding people listen because his daughter is apparently a nurse. That was part of it. The real kicker was GWB-Trading trashing people who committed suicide and were having substance abuse problems because of the lockdowns. He then proceeded to get on his high horse and started thumping his chest because his father was apparently in WWII. He has yet to provide any reason why his daughter being a nurse, or his father being in WWII has anything to do with him or why it would provide him any authority on any subject. So it fits the general theme of Stolen Valor.
Alright, but that's not stolen valor. The worst comment he ever made, in my opinion, was when he said not wearing a mask was the same as putting a gun to his family's head and pulling the trigger. What an asinine, hyperbolic statement. And he's made quite a few.
The dumbest thing GWB has said is lockdowns somehow are effective in controlling the Corona Virus? Pure garbage. If that were true, countries with severe lockdowns would have Corona Virus infections and deaths going down by a huge lot. Instead, they went up. The simple reason is numbnuts do not understand that if you lockdown people, you might reduce the number of infected people out there infecting others. However, these same people will have to go out sometime to go get groceries, go to the bank, go to the post office, etc. Then, after a long lockdown, people are stressed and now have to relax. How do they relax? By comingling with their friends and associates in close proximity or going to Las Vegas or other casinos to gamble? And of course, infections sky rocket all over again. As a solution to the Corona Virus pandemic, it is dumb as hell yet, even now, so called experts are calling for lockdowns at every turn?
