Mueller should bring the charge. The facts are in Trump's favor. Particular since he had a recommendation from Rosenstein to do it and then they uncovered Trumps notes which all are in his favor. A wide range of factors were considered. I will state as I have and will continue to state: I am 100% in favor of Mueller trying to get a prosecution of Trump for this. As has been the case throughout Mueller's career, his big swinging dick when is not in court yet, gets shredded to pulp when defendants get to actually defend themselves. Yes, he gets some chickenfeed perjury convictions from third tier players but the big fish skate. Comey had a sterling reputation as Mueller does/did. But the minute comey tried to handle anything complex, his career ended and he become the subject of scorn of both dems and republicans. Mueller has a lot of big losing cases under his belt. The quicker he can bring the obstruction charge or fail to be able to bring it, then the quicker he becomes another big buffoon lose. Go for it, by all means.
Ford never had a base of support. He was never elected to the presidency by any popular or electoral college voters anywhere, anytime.
Now that the allegation of campaign collusion has all but had it's last gasp, we must now shift to another allegation to hyper ventilate about. Enter the obstruction stories. Left is hoping to drag this out to next years election cycle. Actual charges or convictions not needed. Allegations will be enough to drive the toads to the polls.
No, Pence's becoming president if the current president resigns or is impeached would not be equivalent to Ford's becoming president after Nixon in terms of base of support to begin with. Pence ran on a national ticket and got national support as the VP candidate and electoral college approval. Ford never had either one of those factors. That is one of the reasons why he was not able to ride out the after-effect of pardoning Nixon when he had to run for office himself. He never had any proven support of the people to begin with.
Wrong. Pence was elected. Ford is the only president (or VP) that was never elected in US history. He was appointed VP.
Electoral college approval, give me a break LOL!!! Trump didn't win because of Pence. If Pence were to pardon a criminal Trump he would have the same legacy and faith as Ford.
