I don’t think Putin wants to raise the rainbow flag with you.

The current U.S. diplomat said the openness to turning over McFaul capped off a shocking week for U.S. geopolitics.

“The president has first and foremost his interests at the top of his mind, as opposed to the government’s. That’s very clear over the past week and a half, between shitting on our NATO allies and kissing Putin’s ass,” the diplomat said. “He cares more about himself than the nation and any of us who serve it.”

The diplomat continued: “Either he’s compromised by Putin or he’s a pussy, in which case he should grab himself.”

Glad those calls to civility are working out.

For all your long posts, you are not a very critical thinker, you swallow that demented moron's flawed arguments without any logical process of your own. Conservatism is nothing but low effort thinking, either trained or genetic.

  6. Have either one of you considered that Trump may be meeting Putin as a result of Intelligence Agency information and or recommodations?

The Russian near total divestiture of US Treasuries is a dangerous sign. They many be preparing for war. It might merely be solidarity with China's trade war or it may be related to our actions in Syria. Are or was Russia preparing a "response" to Syria and other perceived injustices by the US?

Russia does not need to use their world leading supply of nuclear weapons to make our lives difficult.

On the other hand, better relations with Russia, among other countries such as China and North Korea, can lead to lower US budget deficits through reduced need for military expenditures and increased economic opportunities for all trade treaty participants through more efficient allocation of economic costs of production.

  7. Seriously, I was thinking the same about you and Slartibartfast. You are both smart guys but something seems to be missing. Whether it is related to difficulties in seeing cause and effect, not able to see the big picture, or not able to correlate someone's personality or motivations with predictable actions, I don't know.

I don't see you or Slartibartfast as bad people. Indeed, I am impressed by Slartibartfast's diverse background and trading skill. Perhaps a cause of our different views of Trump is related to our own preconceived notions.

You convinced me that Trump University was a scam. I hate both George Bush's more than you do. OK, maybe we hate them equally. I was part of a anti-Iraq war II protest group. I am still a long term registered Democrat. I recognize some of the underhanded things the Republican's have changed the political landscape such as cleaning up their act and then "exposing" financial "sloppiness" concerning Congress banking transactions. The Monica and Bill show was BS. At least it appeared to backfire politically on the Republicans. After the Republicans suffered politically, It is my understanding there was retaliation in the form of increased police harassment related to questions of honesty.

I try to be open minded and consider multiple points of view. Before taking a position, it is probably best if we first try to see through the eyes of the other side and initially take the opposing position, as in playing Devil's advocate. Then and only then, can one feel they have a solid basis for their opinion.

Trump has many significant personal issues. Trump also has world class skills, such as reading people and situations. I have talked about the techniques he uses to quickly get to the heart of an issue in other posts. To an outsider, this technique may look like babbling. Trump is not the smartest, but he knows, at least to a degree, how to leverage other people's expertise.

There are many problems in DC. Let's pray that Trump will come up with effective solutions to these known problems of corruption involving power and money.

But you are not thinking, you are repeating the framing that your 'leader' is spouting. You talked about the Mueller investigation as a witchunt directed by Democrats for losing the election when your own ring leader (Devin Nunes) released the famous memo which demolishes that bullshit and yet here you are blaming Dems. For what exactly? For Manafort? For Trump blowing Putin at every opportunity? For Don Jr for taking meetings with Russian government? For Roger Stone? The list is endless. If you can't see objective facts, what's the point of 'thinking'. Thinking has to be critical, vomiting random words with fallacious reasoning is all too common.

Exactly. Trump is going to “drain the swamp” by turning DC into a toxic waste dump.
