meth heads often lose their teeth because they drink soda in copious amounts to quench thirst (high cal) and it's priced around the same as water. I think Don tries to stay fit by opting for diet coke.

Justice Gorsuch noted that the Trump team is trying to draw a distinction between the words “office” and “officer” in Section 3, and asked for an explanation of “why those two terms, so closely related, would carry such different weight.” Jonathan Mitchell, the Trump lawyer, says he believes the Constitution makes clear that “there are officers who don’t hold offices.”

Justice Sotomayor seemed skeptical of the distinction, which Mitchell said stemmed from his desire to make an argument that had fewer implications for the interpretation of other constitutional issues. “A bit of a gerrymandered rule, isn’t it, designed to benefit only your client?” she said.

    The court answered both:

    1. No
    2. Yes

Although the ruling is a bit sloppy.

    I will say it again...

The States should wait until he becomes a convicted felon for his involvement in the January 6th Insurrection on Democracy, U.S. Constitution just like those who were arrested and convicted for their involvement in organizing the insurrection (seditious conspiracy)...example is Enrique Tarrio, together with Joseph Biggs, Zachary Rehl, Ethan Nordean and Dominic Pezzola.

A conviction would be much easier to justify removing the person from a state's ballot.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Criminal_proceedings_in_the_January_6_United_States_Capitol_attack

All those people went to prison for the BIG LIE and will most likely be pardoned by Trump with America looking the other way...signaling to other criminals in America...it's an unfair justice system especially if Trump is not convicted.

Strangely, those who are now a convicted felon are no longer allowed to vote in the U.S. Presidential Election depending upon the state.

Yep, the Supreme Court decided a long time ago it's the "state's right" to determine if convicted felons are eligible to vote in their state.

The Supreme Court allowed the following after each of the following states restored voting rights to ex-cons for the elections...

Voting rights restored automatically upon release from prison in: The District of Columbia, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Montana, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Utah.

The above states were not a problem until 2020 when many on the right said it was "election fraud" or "illegal" when ex-cons were allowed to vote in those states.

Oddly, there are no laws in place to determine if a political candidate who's a convicted felon can run for the Presidency of the United States of America.

Soon there will be when the Supreme Court will decide if Trump has immunity and then will decide if he's convicted...will he be allowed to remain as president of the United States if/when he wins the U.S. election?

Now imagine if every state in America put different types of "convicted felons" on the ballots and then those felons sue the courts if they're disqualified ???

Best to wait for them to first become a convicted felon...

    :D
