Let's see what MAGA idiot Rep. Thomas Massie is shoveling now. Oh, he is not going to count votes in states that don't allow Trump on the ballot. Wait, wasn't attempting to not count votes from states the issue which got Trump indicted. Welcome to your future indictment, Mr. Massie.

No, Mr. Massie -- the US House of Representatives is not the ultimate arbiter of whether to certify electors from those states. The laws and the Constitution are the ultimate arbiter. If you attempt to circumvent it then you will be facing felony charges just like Trump.

House may nullify millions of votes to get back at states that disqualified Trump: GOP congressman

On Friday, Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Kentucky) issued a veiled threat to states considering the disqualification of former President Donald Trump from the Republican primary ballot.

"Maine, Colorado, and other states that might try to bureaucratically deny ballot access to any Republican nominee should remember the US House of Representatives is the ultimate arbiter of whether to certify electors from those states," Massie wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

Massie's threat seems to suggest that any state that excludes Trump from its respective ballot could face severe consequences, including having their state's chosen Electoral College representatives potentially excluded from the final electoral vote count. Hypothetically, this could mean that if the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) upholds the Colorado supreme court's disqualification of the former president, the Centennial State's 10 Electoral College members may not be certified by the full House of Representatives — effectively denying the votes of millions of Coloradans from being included in the final result.

The Kentucky Republican's tweet comes in the wake of Trump potentially facing ballot disqualification in at least two states, pending judicial review. In Colorado, the state's supreme court ruled 4-3 in the Anderson v. Griswold case that Trump was not qualified to appear on the ballot due to being in violation of Section 3 of the 14th Amendment to the US Constitution.

    Let's catch up with Stinky...

Ex-GOP lawmaker doubles down on claim Trump smells – ‘of armpits, ketchup and butt’
‘It’s not good. The best way to describe it... take armpits, ketchup, a butt and makeup and put that all in a blender and bottle that as a cologne,’ Adam Kinzinger said

you had me there for a minute, had to look up the small little green booklet from my brother from his usmc days. you are reading as you please, but no one seriously think the president, a natural born citizen, is not an 4 year term officer holder.

you can also argue the corporation is people but the corporation can’t vote.

Article II, Section 1, Clause 1:

The executive Power shall be vested in a President of the United States of America. He shall hold his Office during the Term of four Years, and, together with the Vice President, chosen for the same Term, be elected, as follows.

Correct, I mistyped my earlier dissertation by saying he is not an "office holder. I meant to say he is not an "Officer of The United States" and that is what Sec 3 of the 14th refers to.

---No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice-President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.---

  10. I am not trying to have you haha or reading as I please..the point is the clause is not clearly defined and an Officer of the United States has specific meanings in other federal statutes and usage.

Guess what happens when you have an issue of first impression or unclear area in federal law relating to a federal crime..... the U.S. Supreme Court or Congress has the authority to address the issue, not a single state supreme court. This is a part of the law learned from studying constitutional law and is what causes the confusion.

A state supreme court does not have the authority to interpret the constitution, convict someone of a federal crime, make a criminal determination on a federal statute, or strip people of federally granted/constitutional rights. Does not matter if it is trump, biden, or the best guy in the whole United States.

The decision on whether trump participated in an insurrection is not for the SC of Colorado to determine in a hearing since insurrection is a federal crime which results in the loss of protected rights (prison, fines, loss of office).

Imagine if all the states were free to interpert the contitution anyway they want...
