The speaker of the house has immense power, most notably the power of the purse strings. While the president has domain over foreign policy, trade and domestic execution of policy. The Senate is actually the weakest but with one exception, the power to absolutely bring the whole government to a screeching halt.
I will give Trump his credit, while it’s not as high profile as SOTU the way they timed it, an hour before departure, really mucks up her schedule and the personal annoyance of having packed and prepared on top of that. It’s a nice little ding. I respect it.
Its pretty much a complete FU to Pelosi.... Trump denies Pelosi aircraft for foreign trip, after call for State of the Union delay https://www.foxnews.com/politics/tr...response-to-call-for-state-of-the-union-delay
The CODEL to Afghanistan included a required stop in Brussels for pilot rest. In Brussels, the delegation was scheduled to meet with top NATO commanders, U.S. military leaders and key allies–to affirm the United States’ ironclad commitment to the NATO alliance.

It is shameful that @realDonaldTrump has decided to not allow you to go and thank our troops. Nonetheless, your intent to go is GREATLY appreciated. Thank you.
She doesn't represent the United States. She has zero to say to our allies. If the purpose of her trip is to undermine Trump, that is a political mission and should be paid for by the DNC.
