    Huh? Here...
the move to San Francisco came increasing political involvement by the Temple and the high levels of approval they received from the local government
    and, here...
support in California gave Jones access to several high-ranking political figures, including vice presidential candidate Walter Mondale and First Lady Rosalynn Carter. Guests at a large 1976 testimonial dinner for Jones included Governor Jerry Brown, Lieutenant Governor Mervyn Dymally, and California Assemblyman Willie Brown, among others.
    Don't shoot the messenger.

Because it suits them and that's all they want... everyone to bend over backwards for each and every one of their special interests.

Poopy, you are a troll and a coward... when you grow a backbone and unblock me we can see if you're capable of having a thoughtful discussion. Until then, go hide in your skew arb threads.

    :p

  6. No one gives a shit about what I think and you are just jumping in a discussion without any context so go back and read first.

The fellow mouthpiece here spew bullshit and don't even have 5 seconds to Google check and realize they are wrong. PERIOD.

and don't pull the "it wasn't mentioned in the constitution" most of what we deal.with today was not mentioned in the Constitution in 1787. AR15 didn't exist when the 2nd A was passed so they should be banned amirite?

These guys don't know shit about history and can't hold two thoughts in their head. They can at best regurgutate whatever talking points but its a low quality recording.

From the time of the American Revolution through to the mid-19th century, abortion was not a significant point of controversy in the United States. During this period, the prevailing view, particularly among Protestant Christians*, was that personhood began at "quickening," which typically occurs between 18 and 21 weeks of pregnancy.

As a result, abortion before this stage was legal in every state under common law. This historical context is often overlooked in modern discussions.

It didn't really get polarized until Newt and others started to ram national platform talking points down Republican necks.

    * Housemaids being a popular form of contraception used by gentleman's wives back then, just for a start.

    Agreed.

So... I think the 10th amendment exists for a reason. The reason being that the Federal government has limited and enumerated powers. Arms are indeed mentioned in the constitution (ok, Bill of rights but won't split hairs here) and so there's more meat on that bone to pick over.

Nonetheless, IDK about an AR, but IMHO you should be able to go to your local Walmart and buy a rifle, shotgun, or peashooter without a huge hassle. Don't shoot your eye out kid!

I suggest ignoring any "mouthpieces spewing bullshit". I'm convinced may of those people are paid to post stuff they don't even believe. Think for yourself and draw the best conclusion you can.

Best wishes to you @El OchoCinco

Well, that was just an arbitrary figure I threw out there, (not far off actually if your 'nearly 67%' is correct)... but that was not the point of my post. My point was SCOTUS didn't ban it, their ruling lets the people in the individual states decide. What works for people in New York doesn't might not always work for folks in Mississippi.

Roe federally protected it. Your view of Roe is really naive. 36% of the electorate is against abortion and 60% is close to that figure?
