Funny, I was just considering how American literature shifted in balance during the depression to the anti-hero. I searched and found this article. "What saves the antihero is circumstance. For whatever reason, he’s usually on the right side, often helping the less fortunate as a mere byproduct of his main goal: trying to get rich." https://www.realclearbooks.com/arti...wed_by_tv_and_films_anti-villains_110138.html
Yeah, but that's not exactly how I see Hannity, Carlson et al. I think this might be a closer likeness:
LOL... You and your ilk are leaning on the 'let's make shit up and sit what happens' prosecution. Trump is the POTUS.. He won fair and square... GET OVER IT... Wait till Horowitz, Durham, and Barr open their Kimonos. You will see what really happened... My guess is: You won't believe any of it. Because feelings,,,
He is so triggered This could be a good scene for a Lacey and the Trump comedy. Republican stall tactics in the impeachment hearings.
https://www.nytimes.com/2019/11/18/us/politics/trump-health-emergency.html White House Denies Trump Health Emergency Two days after a mysterious, unannounced hospital visit, President Trump’s physician issued a late-night statement attributing it to “regular, primary preventative care.” “Despite some of the speculation, the president has not had any chest pain, nor was he evaluated or treated for any urgent or acute issues,” Cmdr. Sean P. Conley, the president’s Navy physician, wrote in a memo released by the White House in an unusual late-night statement. “Specifically, he did not undergo any specialized cardiac or neurologic evaluations.” Need we recall 6'3" 239 lb bio-metrics by Jakson, or Trump's dictated "best health in the universe" letter to Bornstein?
That's an entirely new defense to Bribery that I hadn't been aware of until now. Good luck with that. It's probably no better than the "It didn't happen defense," which goes like this: "A robber walks into a bank with a gun, demands cash from the vault. On the way out, he fires once at the bank guard, misses, and is apprehended by police moments later. The stolen money is returned to the bank, and the guard is given the rest of the day off. The robber pleads not guilty. His defense is based on the facts: the bank lost no money in the robbery, and no one was seriously hurt. Therefore, "it didn't happen."
