  4. None of you TDS people and those who seem to be leftists here seem to NOT understand tariffs. People keep thinking the consumer will pay them. The brunt of the tariffs will be paid by the exporter and the importer. One or the other will have to absorb the cost. Or both reach a mutual agreement to share the costs. If either try to put the brunt of the cost off on the consumer the consumer will stop buying. Supply will overwhelm demand and both the importer and the exporter will see sales drop like flies.

We are the biggest economy in the world. China will not want to lose our market. Neither will Canada or any other country. They will have to deal or their economy will be scuttled. Trump is willing to deal. He will drop or adjust tariffs if they will treat us fairly. Time will tell if they are willing to deal and thus sell their products to us and be fair about us selling our products and services to them.

  7. None of you .MAGA nutjob people and those who seem to be lunatics here seem to NOT understand tariffs.

Tariffs put the cost of foreign goods up, meaning the Consumer is forced to buy the next cheapest which is the higher cost locally made product.

Tariffs raise costs, its basically government induced Inflation

Guess he hasn't heard Temu and Shein raised their prices 145% - which is just the start of things.

    Wallyworld and Tarjay next.

Sure sales will drop but they ain't subsidizing the consumer completely to keep market share. So companies (on both sides of the equation) and end consumers will pay - especially those at the bottom end of the economic spectrum.

And poll happy tRump will ..... not be very happy about that.

Blue wave on the horizon 2026.

  10. And who benefits from Inflation? Property owners. You reckon dodgy Trump didn't see the benefits to his bankrupt Properties's values when he came up with these Inflationary policies.
