What's strange is that I saw a few years ago in the trading threads here at Elitetrader.com the mentioning of members asking other members to join them in talking about trading on Telegram. At that particular time, the only negative thing I knew about Telegram was that it was a communication tool for the dark web and illegal activities. Going forward, a few of the most active Covidiots, conspiracy theorists here at Elitetrader.com are actually users of Telegram. Now I learn that groups like the Proud Boys use Telegram too and it makes me wonder if Telegram is a source of radicalization and recruitment. wrbtrader
Golf and dealing with who thwarted him: this is how Trump has spent his time since leaving the White House It has been five days since Donald Trump left the White House. Since then he has resided at his club Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida. There he spends his days playing golf and coming up with plans to deal with who once sabotaged him. Trump declined to attend the swearing-in of his successor Joe Biden in Washington DC on Wednesday. He left before dawn by helicopter to Joint Base Andrews, where he gave a farewell speech, and then flew on to Mar-a-Lago in Florida. Since then he has mainly focused on golfing. The atmosphere in the exclusive club would not have been great since his arrival. According to historian Laurence Leamer - the author of Mar-a-Lago: Inside the Gates of Power at Donald Trump's Presidential Palace - many loyal members have quietly left since they no longer want to be associated with the former president. "Many of them didn't go there often anymore, because it's a desolate place," Leamer said on MSNBC news channel. “It is now a sad place for Trump to stay. It is no longer what it used to be. ” Airplane That some of his new neighbors also did not like to see him come, has already been shown. According to The Washington Post, they sent a letter to the city council and the secret service in which they made it clear that Trump is legally not allowed to live there permanently. Last weekend, a plane also flew over with some banners that read, among other things, that Trump was “the worst president ever”. It is not clear to what extent Trump is taking it to his heart. In addition to golf, insiders say he is busy planning his political future. For example, he would play with the idea of founding a new party. He would like to put candidates in positions where Republicans who were not loyal to him in the past come up. Trump has already shown in recent weeks that he is still angry with a number of party representatives who dropped him after the storming of the Capitol on January 6, including Republican leader in the Senate Mitch McConnell and the number three of the Republican party in the House Speaker Liz Cheney. Trump is said to have told his advisers that he is popular enough to get them in the way. Threat Insiders also told The Washington Post that Trump's threat to create a new party wants to deter Republicans who want to vote in favor of his impeachment trial. After all, a third party could cost the Republicans a lot of votes. Trump would also be furious with top virologist Anthony Fauci. In recent days, he has made it clear in several interviews that he is happy that Trump has disappeared from the scene and that he now works for President Biden. According to sources from news medium The Daily Beast, Trump would obsessively follow all TV interviews with Fauci in Mar-a-Lago and complain about how “incompetent” Fauci was and that he should have fired him when he could (something he has not the power for, because Fauci is not politically appointed). Trump is also angry that he can no longer comment on Twitter, because his account has been indefinitely suspended after the riots at the Capitol. “He feels that many people are doing everything they can to bring down his legacy, out of hatred for who he is,” he said.

"So the choice is vote to acquit to stop Trump from running as a third party candidate or vote to convict so he can't run as either a third party or GOP candidate." Trump Saying Third-Party Threat Will Leverage GOP Senators into Acquitting Him in Impeachment Trial: Report https://lawandcrime.com/u-s-capitol...o-acquitting-him-in-impeachment-trial-report/ Former President Donald Trump is reportedly saying that his threat to start another political party will get GOP senators to acquit him during his upcoming impeachment trial over the D.C. insurrection. From The Washington Post [emphasis ours]: Multiple people in Trump’s orbit, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss private conversations, say Trump has told people that the third-party threat gives him leverage to prevent Republican senators from voting to convict him during the Senate impeachment trial. Trump advisers also say they plan to recruit opposing primary candidates and commission polling next week in districts of targeted lawmakers. Trump has more than $70 million in campaign cash banked to fund his political efforts, these people say. Trump supporters raided the Capitol Building on January 6 as Congress was counting electoral college results for the 2020 presidential election. Then-President Trump continued to lie that he actually won and it was being stolen from him. The chaos followed a typically incendiary speech from the nearby Ellipse park. “We fight like hell and if you don’t fight like hell, you’re not going to have a country anymore,” Trump said in existential terms. Five people–four supporters and one Capitol police officer–died from events at the Capitol. Another officer, and an insurrection defendant died by suicide mere days after the incident. Successful conviction efforts in the Senate means Trump would be barred from seeking federal office again. Goodbye 2024 re-election campaign. At face value, that is going to be hard to achieve. Only 10 House Republicans voted to impeach. A supermajority vote of two-thirds is necessary to convict in the Senate. Trump reportedly aims to keep it that way, and that may well be the case, assuming a party line vote. Dems barely control the Chamber with 50-50 representation. Basically, Trump’s reported approach to the Republican party is that if he’s going down, he’s going to make life a lot more difficult for them politically. Influential Senate minority leader Mitch McConnell (R-Kentucky) has reportedly supported impeachment, but it remains to be seen if he will stick to this stance, amid the likelihood that Trump supporters will turn against the GOP. Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Florida) told Fox News on Sunday that Trump “bears responsibility for some of what happened,” but nonetheless, he opposes the ongoing impeachment process. “I think the trial is stupid,” he said. “I think it’s counterproductive. We already have a flaming fire in this country, and it’s like taking a bunch of gasoline and pouring it on top of the fire.” Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) is a likely yes vote on conviction, and was the only GOPer to vote for removal the last time Trump was impeached. “I believe that what is being alleged and what we saw, which is incitement to insurrection, is an impeachable offense,” he said Sunday on CNN. “If not, what is?”
You're wrong as usual. The movement and Trump will only gain strength from here and his leverage is extremely high. You Dems and Liberal Republicans just don't get it and likely never will.
When they are in group they all have a big mouth. When they are alone they cry like children. Q Anon and the Proud Boys will not support Trump anymore. Trump will lose a lot of support from the moderate Republican voters too. They did not appreciate the attack on Capitol Hill instigated by Trump and killing 5 people.
