Trump has talked to associates about forming new political party: report

  1. What he ended up with is far smaller than what he started out with. And after January 6, smaller still.

I have no doubt he can still be a pain in the ass, but now he's just a nasty hemorrhoid.

  4. Maybe. Maybe not. I think the voting public may have learned a valuable lesson at the hands of Professor Donald. Let's hope they're smart enough not to make the same egregious mistake again, his hardcore idiot base notwithstanding.

  5. I'm not convinced you could identify a centrist in a lineup. Really.

  6. How much of a new party is it if it is the same shit we jus had for 4 years.

Green and Libertarian party took way more votes from HRC than what she lost by in 2016.

A "Patriot Party" founded by Trump will simply pull votes from fringe, radical and conspiratorial factions of GOP and hand the Dems a super majority in 2024. They will also challenge only GOP incumbents.

trump will simply continue to kill the GOP from the outside as much as he did from the inside. Also good luck anyone thinking GOP will allow trump to further kill the party.

trump will do this for 1 reason only....to keep himself in the news. All he cares about is the spotlight and will do to Biden what he did to Obama...compare himself repeatedly because he is so petty and hates it when his name is not in the news.

Also he know how stupid his supporters are to send him money for any reason....new stream of income.

  7. Maybe, maybe not, depends on a couple of things. We'll know it's a scam if they actually name it the Patriot party. That's a dog whistle name, full of phony patriots and their fucking lapel pins. Second, if Trump himself is the major face of the party, it's a hustle. Third, if they just try and rebrand the MAGA shit again, con game all the way.
Now if he is just a behind the scenes,(unlikely given his ego),who does some organizing, then it can be real. There is an opportunity to pull from both parties if done correctly. The risk is, people who are desperate for representation and a voice are likely to be easy prey for a hustle, and that hustle will not be limited to a third party candidate. It will be interesting to see just who and what types of people rise to this occasion. Until then, it's on the new president and his administration. Excuses won't fly well or for very long. We'll see how he does in the big boy chair.

I don't think that is going happen.A Trump/Patriot/libertarian etc party wont come close to taking as many votes from Dems as they will from Pubs.

    wrbtrader and Cuddles like this.
  9. Do you really expect it to play out any differently if Trump has any say in it? Is it even in the realm of possibility?

  10. You just undercut your argument and showed why it will not work.... Trump pushed a PM out of the way because he wanted to get to the front for a picture... no way he does anything unless he can write his name with urine on it.
