One thing about Sanders I really like is that you can count on him going after Wall Street like he claims. He's uncorruptible, and that's awesome.

  2. True, but all of these people are talking like they're going to be the Emperor. Who can work within the constraints of this wholly dysfunctional government we have? Who can get these nitwits in congress to agree on anything?
The country is lost. Look at who is being given serious consideration. Ben Carson? WTF? He's an outsider. Hey, the drunk at the end of the bar is an outsider. Reminds me of Palin and her maverick crap. Trump is talking out of his ass like it's a game show and everyone else is trying to keep up with the crazy train. They get nuttier every day.
Clinton? Com'on, really? This is the best we can do? She's the kind of a person you interview and say, hey that's a hell of a resume'. Then you call her references and they all say she's impossible to get along with, can't be trusted, and thinks the world revolves around her. You gonna' hire that?
We have to do better and I just ain't seeing it.

  3. I think he and Elizabeth Warren would make a hell of a tag team to clean up the financial industry.

Maybe. Depends on who does the hitting.

The only thing I look forward to in a Republican dominated government is the repeal of the estate tax. God help us otherwise.

  5. I heard Trump's exchange with this reporter who is claiming Trump said he wanted a national registry of muslims, and it is far from clear that is what trump meant. He was signing autographs after a speech and the reporter jumped in with leading questions about registering muslims and Trump deflected it by talking about building a wall and immigration. The reporter attempted a followup and said something like "so you would support that" and trump agreed but it wasn't clear what trump was agreeing to. It seemed to me he was agreeing with his own proposal to build a wall and get serious about immigration. Obviously part of that involves keeping track of refugees and other immgirants, something we don't do now.

Anyone with any sense can see that this was an attempted setup and that the reporter is stretching what was said. At best, he basically put words on trump's mouth in an off the cuff conversation.

Trump has never called for such a registry or even mentioned it before this question.

Actually he did, earlier, before that reported baited him.

  7. Good post, except maybe for the last part. Who said she was difficult to get along with, apart from one secret security agent who may or may not have had an axe to grind?

  9. Do you have a cite? I suspect you are referring to the yahoo interview where he made some offhand comments about mosques, etc. He never said anything about a registry.
