Trump faces a much tougher road to reelection than most seem to think.

  2. ‘Party of Lincoln is dead, dead, dead’: Ex-House Republican lawyer says it’s time to give up on ‘hopeless’ GOP

Former House Republican Congressional Committee Investigative Counsel Sophia Nelson this week published a scathing column about her former party in which she encouraged Americans to simply give up hope that it will ever properly serve as a check on President Donald Trump.

In her latest Daily Beast column, Nelson called the GOP “hopeless” and declared that “the party of Lincoln is dead, dead, dead” after so many of its members stayed silent in the wake of Trump’s widely panned photo-op stunt at St. John’s Church in Washington D.C.

In fact, Nelson went so far as to say that GOP senators shouldn’t be forgiven even if they start properly attacking Trump right now.

“Republican senators cannot redeem themselves,” she wrote. “That ship sailed during the impeachment trial, when Republican senators blocked witnesses… The Party of Lincoln is long gone. It is dead. It was murdered by Donald Trump and a cadre of Republican members of Congress, governors, and surrogates across the land.”

Trump is being completely tone death to the citizens of our nation in a time of crisis. Now that is STUPID. And pretty much blows his chances of being re-elected.

  5. Your view is partisan, not logical.

Our country has a long history of tolerating/allowing criminal riots and looting. Should have "put a stop to it" lonnnnng ago. Wasn't. Not Trump's fault today.

In a time of crisis the President should be focusing on uniting the nation in this public efforts rather than fanning the flames. In private the Feds can coordinate a federal law enforcement and national guard response while assisting state and local governments.

An endless line of Tweets about "Law & Order" is not helpful action in resolving the situation across the country.

Trump failed the leadership test in response to COVID -- when given a second opportunity to demonstrate leadership in his response to Floyd, he has failed again.

  7. 1. How is Trump to "unite the nation" when the DemoCrap side won't hear of it? They WANT DIVISION... as much as possible. Not Trump's fault if there is "no overcoming that".

    2. Wrong again on Floyd. Should have been handled locally. Not Trump's fault that it escalated into something bigger than it should have. (Hey, Trump can't be held accountable for all the racism in this country. If you want to point the finger of racism toward anyone, should be Obama. He fostered racism and division as much as he thought he might get away with.)

(You're posting like an ignoranus! Should I put you on ignore? Maybe you should put me on ignore??)

The problem is the Democrat mayors and governors are out to sabotage him. They do not care whether businesses got torched, looted, people hurt and killed. That is the reality. In Los Angeles, looters were passing by cops and national guard the first two nights and not being stopped at all. The third day, they arrested some looters. A small number of them. No doubt, stand down orders given by Eric Garcetti and Gavin Newsom. You cannot reason with thugs. The NY police chief took a knee two nights ago with demonstrators. Looters did their thing shortly after, trashing New York businesses. When police are not doing their jobs because Democrat officials tell them to leave them alone, there is a huge problem there. We are the world's number 1 superpower yet, cannot control a small number of looters and anarchists?
As to Covid, why are you not blaming the Democrat governors for their inept and stupid actions. They are in charge of their states, not the President of the United States. Medical supplies they got in huge doses. Cuomo was even having a press conference asking for 40,000 ventilators on national TV while, medical equipment and supplies piled to the roof of that warehouse. Nurses and doctors dying because they are not getting those medical equipment and supplies hoarded by Cuomo?
As for the George Floyd case, FBI took charge of the investigation, filed charges against Chauvin, now all 4 cops charged. What more do you want? People need to grow up and blame the guilty. The rioters including, Antifa thugs among them. Nobody else was destroying businesses and burning them down.

    Agreed.

This is the society you get when the left controls the narrative in entertainment, education, and the news media.

Trump's biggest problem is his mouth (or his fingers, if you want to be literal about Twitter). Can't just shut up. Says the dumbest things. I can't stand the man's personality. I'm >-< this close to voting Libertarian this time around as a protest vote.
