TRUMP EFFECT Closing the border with Mexico could bring the auto industry to a halt, experts say

  1. A security system would have had bipartisan support. As soon as Trump bragged he could get Mexico to pay for a Wall and people believed him that it would cost us nothing and both parties drew lines in the sand, he created a division that there is not one Dem who could even utter the word Wall without getting castrated.

I actually he wished he never went the route of the Wall and Mexico will pay for it and simply focused on immigration reform and security. Then the GOP congress could have passed a bill with Dem support to fix the areas that are pourous and add more patrols, technology and push back on the flows.

This is the problem with a populous uproar and sweeping into office a polarizing candidate. It freezes anything worth doing by both parties. If HRC won the same shit would have happened from the GOP side because no one would have stepped out of line to support a policy of hers just like no Dem will say they support a policy of Trump.

We as a country are now fucked due to 500- 600 castrated people in Congress and related agencies.

  2. Closing the border is very Reaganlike, and you know what else is very Reaganlike? Amnesty for the illegals.

  3. Might be, might not be... but unless US policy changes to "no welfare or support" for immigrants to keep them from invading, economic considerations should take a back seat to border security.

  5. They could have done the same thing before Trump was elected but didn't.

Dems want more hispanic voters, republicans want cheap labor. Neither give a crap about the country or what voters want.

But you are forgetting the billions annually that get sucked out of the USA and go to Mexico and other countries that fuel their systems and economy instead of fueling USA economy. On top of that the millions in direct aid. On top of that the jobs and factories being sucked out of USA. Ross Perot was right about his BIG sucking sound.....

Yep in more ways than one the life blood of the economy of the USA has been, and is being, “sucked” right out. The affliction, scourge and plague of globalism. It will degenerate into socialism.

Where do you suppose the Mexicans that send the money from the USA back to Mexico are getting that money? Do you think that the people and businesses that are paying those Mexicans are getting more in value than they are paying? If the Mexicans weren't doing those jobs do you think that Americans would be? Before you answer that, Google farmers trying to harvest crops without Mexican labor.

Tell that to the Brexiteers who thought that the rest of Europe needed them more than they needed Europe, only to discover that it was the other way around.
