I'd say a budget surplus in a few short months after taking office is AMAZING!

Now who's "clueless" here? As always... the Canadian cohort.:finger:

Your economy went from +2.4% to -0.5% in three months. AMAZING!

  6. So you admit trump is contributing to deficit spending....ok there is hope for you yet.

  7. So why doesnt trump just raise taxes to result in a budget surplus? Easier and fairer than tariffs which are a tax on Americans anyway. trump should just raise taxes and we would have the problem solved.

Looks so far that big business is absorbing most of the tariff costs
Democrats should love this...finally the rich are paying their fair share

    page 2 breakdown

Individual income and payroll (social insurance) taxes together rose by $216 billion (or 7 percent). - CBO estimates that the postponement of deadlines for some taxpayers in 2023 shifted $35 billion in nonwithheld income tax payments into the beginning of fiscal year 2024. Starting in January, such payments have been 14 percent greater than payments from the same period last year, mostly reflecting an increase in 2024 tax liabilities.

Receipts from corporate income taxes decreased by $26 billion (or 7 percent) relative to the same period in fiscal year 2024

  10. I applaud your efforts to make ignorance look smart but you forgot that google will make you look stupid immediately. We call you names and are hard on you because you choose to remain willfully ignorant to worship your diety instead of having a brain to think for yourself,

It is not your fault but if you want to stop look stupid as people post the receipts for your lies then stop posting....stupid shit.

    • Stellantis NV (STLAM.MI), opens new tab said on Thursday it was temporarily laying off 900 workers at five U.S. facilities and pausing production at one assembly plant each in Mexico and Canada, after U.S. President Donald Trump's tariffs were announced.
    • The Volvo Group has announced it’s cutting 800 workers at its Volvo and Mack Truck plants in Pennsylvania, Virginia and Maryland. “Heavy-duty truck orders continue to be negatively affected by market uncertainty about freight rates and demand, possible regulatory changes, and the impact of tariffs,” a Volvo Group spokesperson told Reuters.
    • United Parcel Service Inc. (UPS): Planned layoffs of 20,000 workers in 2025, citing macro-economic uncertainty and reduced shipping volumes linked to tariffs.
