Trump calls for biannual earnings reporting

    Already Q's and K's and material change disclosure obligations...no need for this.

    Really would suck for trading around earnings. Hope they reject it.

    for the long term this makes sense... corporate wastes lots of energy around quarter closes.

    If I'm holding stock in a public company, I want more disclosure, not less.

    Letting a company run amuck for six months without a requirement for public reporting is insane. And it's likely to create more volatility, not less.

    Of course Trump wants this. It's good for corporate bigwigs who are held accountable less frequently and screws the individual investor whose only real source of information are quarterly calls. Institutional investors would still get the blue horseshoe call.
