  1. Depends, if he bought them to wear them, yes he's a moron. However, it's possibly a good investment where he can sell them for even more. I say this, because there are probably lots of people who didn't attend the convention all over the country willing to buy them now.

Not the fire sale already!? Now they are going to have to sell 5 million pairs to pay the NY penalties.

Just the typical demise of anything branded with Trump. Well the lawsuit part comes up next.

Trump's gold shoes ridiculed after price drop: 'Just surrendered 75% of their price'

Some say it was a sneaker con all along.

The 45th president came to Philly in mid-February and debuted before sneaker heads at the Sneaker Con his limited edition, golden bathed, red-soled "Never Surrender High-Tops" with Stars and Stripes accents for a $399 sticker price.

The Never Surrender sneakers were billed as "your rally cry in shoe form."

And on his website the 1,000 run of the kicks had already sold out within hours.

Two weeks later the shoes are being hawked online for a third of the price.

"I wonder how many gullible idiots bought a pair of Trump’s 'Never Surrender' sneakers at the original $400 price," asked a Democratic campaign finance executive Jon Cooper. "You can now find them online for under $100, lol. Anyway, whatever price they pay, these MAGA morons will likely never get delivery. It’s just another con, folks."

"The Never Surrender sneakers just surrendered 75% of their price," reads a tweet by Bob Clendenin.

GOP pollster Frank Luntz joked: "The ‘Never Surrender’ Trump sneakers have surrendered to the Deep Discount State."

Online the shoes indeed are being sold for barely a Benjamin.

A few stores have them vending for $200 and a couple places even marked them up.

One pair of size 9s is going for $2,024 while a pair of size 10s is actually going for $25,000.

When Trump made the appearance before shoe aficionados, he was met by a mixture of boos and cheers — some even chanting “USA!”

“There’s a lot of emotion in this room,” Trump said when he took to the lectern and caressed his shoes. “This is something that I’ve been talking about for 12 years, 13 years. And I think it’s going to be a big success,” he said that day.

  8. As Seinfeld once said about “limited editions,” they’re limited to how many they can sell.
