i clicked you link... looked at the citation...
they are measurements of whether masks can block some particles.

They are not about the real world of Covid transmission.

No evidence that supported your claim about Covid transmission.
    Which was ridiculous.

here is the real world problem which shows how simplistic your thoughts were.
(an notice we did not discuss the dirty mask problem at all)

"Surgical masks and the tested hand-made masks were found to limit the forward flow of expelled breath, but also generate far-reaching leakage jets to the side, behind, above and below. Heavy breathing and coughing, in particular, were shown to generate intense backward jets."

I've said several times now that I'm not defending the President's actions. What he did was done due to his own ego and vanity. Oh, and I completely and totally denounce White Supremacy (just in case I have to get my daily denunciation in).

What I'm talking to - what I have been talking to this whole time - is the risk to the agents. If you want to go off on Trump because he is an asshole or an egoist and didn't need to do what he did, or his bullshit bravado in COVID, or not taking the disease seriously and leading a poor example, go right ahead. Even if I didn't agree with most of that (I do agree) I wouldn't have a right to tell you otherwise. Your opinions are yours and you have a right to them.

But if you're going to try to take the position that the agents were at any real risk above and beyond what they do every day, I'm going to debate it because it just isn't true.

It’s like the old saying goes, you can lead a Jem to water but you can’t make his brain work properly.

I merely provided the link to show where the claim comes from. I do not not support the 90% figure as reducing COVID just as the reduction in aerosol transmission distance from exhaling..... other studies show a projected 65% to 70% figure for reducing the spread of COVID in indoor spaces dependent on the quality of the mask(s) -- mainly from preventing transmission but very little on the receiving side. However none of the studies are finalized.... because they really require firm contact tracing to provide strong proof. Or you can place a few COVID positive people in a room and see who else gets it while tracking everyone within the room for the period of time -- like they did with the concert study in Germany.

Jem is a complainer, not a doer. He has no solution because he doesn’t even understand the problem. He’s just a guy that grabs onto nonsense and sits there despite having his face rubbed in shit over and over again.

Even if it were 65%, that’s still just as good or better than a vaccine. And for clarity of claim, it’s not 90% - it’s up to 90%.

I think not. This is just the reduction of COVID transmission within a confined space for a defined period of time --- and merely a scientific projection at this point. Stay in the confined space long enough -- a few hours -- and you still will likely catch COVID.

A vaccine provides a immunity via antibodies providing (at high enough level) herd immunity across society.... a totally different situation.
