doesn't matter. Why can't the guy see his father if he wears a mask? Why is he restricted? Why were so many tens of thousands not able to see loved ones or have funerals if all they had to do was wear a mask?
Because people were dying in hospitals where there were protocols to protect people from catching it or outsiders coming in. Imagine if everyone got to go into the hospital in and out regularly you could not maintain the environment. Masks are effective at stopping the spread but if you have people coming in and out constantly you need to wash all the surfaces repeatedly and all teh areas where people are because you don't know what happened before they entered with a mask. Hospitals have enough to worry about without filled waiting rooms or hospital rooms with fmaily members all around. it is a pandemic so it makes sense. Everyone understands why hospitals restricted people from coming in....except a select few of you just to make an argument. In the cancer ward due to reduced immune systems, people are severly restricted from coming in and out, now imagine a virus situation in a hospital with 8 to 10 COVID patients where the ward has to be sealed off and tons of PPE ar ebeing used hourly. I think you just want to argue on this rather than think logically why during a pandemic a hospital is keeping people out.
I'm not arguing that hospitals should have restricted people or shouldn't have. I'm just pointing to the double standards running rampant. Guy can't see his father in hospital, so guy rants about Trump taking drive. But same guy has no problem with RBG funeral. You tell me RBG funeral was fine because people wore masks. But guy in hospital could have wore masks. Trump wore a mask in the car. Then you say hospitals couldn't have people coming in constantly because they'd need to wash all the surfaces repeatedly (they do) and having family members restricted makes sense. So guy couldn't see his family because of restrictions that make sense, but the President of the United States can't take a ride in his car, sealed in and wearing a mask because it doesn't make sense. And I'm the one arguing for the sake of arguing.
Your comparisons do not make any sense. You need to think it through. Trump was putting his own people at risk unnecessarily. Unnecessarily. Agents' lives are worth more than that. They are not just props for his theater. He then went into the WH and took off his mask! It had previously been reported that he didn't like staffers wearing masks because "it didn't look good." Didn't comport with his tortured reality. Your comparison of Trump's conduct with RBG's funeral is uninspired, as is your comparison with a dying relative. It's like you're just phoning it in. For the sake of phoning. Really.
There's no honest debate to be had with redhats, everything they say is to "own the libs" and protect the fuhrer
I'm not drawing a parallel to Trump's activity in the White House. I'm also not supporting Trump for his decisions on mask wearing or what he did in the White House, in the caravan, none of it. Your complete and unabashed hatred for the man is making you see villains and enemies where none exist. All I am saying is that we have a man who said he wasn't able to see his father because of COVID, but the President can do an activity that Presidents tend to do (drive in a motorcade to see their fans in an election year) and that's wrong. Yet people can have the public viewing of RBG and its just fine - so long as everyone there wears a mask. But the President can't do what he did, even wearing a mask because he is putting people at risk. Either its all right, or its all wrong. And I'm just fine with each of those options as they are subjective (what is right and what is wrong in this case). What I am not fine with is the hypocrisy in "good for me, but not for thee" that seems so prevalent and widespread in a world of hyper-partisan behavior and opinions.
Speaking of "honesty" in any form whatsoever, calling me a "redhat" and claiming Trump is my "fuhrer" is just so fucking dumb that it just has to come from an idiot such as yourself.
