New poll shows Biden with six-point lead on Trump
    https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/3633301-new-poll-shows-biden-with-six-point-lead-on-trump/

President Biden is leading former President Trump by 6 points in a hypothetical 2024 presidential match-up, new polling shows.

In a Yahoo News-YouGov poll released Wednesday, 48 percent of registered voters said they’d cast their ballot for Biden “if the 2024 election were held today,” while 42 percent said they’d vote for Trump.

Biden held a 3-point lead in the hypothetical 2020 rematch in a similar August poll. Trump’s support was steady across both surveys.

The president’s widening lead over his predecessor comes in the wake of Biden’s “Soul of the Nation” speech last week. During the rare prime-time political address, Biden lambasted Trump and his “Make America Great Again” supporters as a danger to democracy.

Biden’s approval ratings have also been climbing back from record lows earlier this year amid a series of legislative wins for Democrats and declining gas prices. The new poll found the president with a 43 percent approval rating among registered voters.

More Democrats say Biden should run again than shouldn’t, a reversal of results from August.

Last month, 43 percent of Democrats said Biden should not seek reelection, while 35 percent said he should. In the latest poll, 30 percent of Democrats said he shouldn’t and 44 percent said he should.

Democrats are also polling ahead of Republicans by 5 points on a generic congressional ballot, with 45 percent of registered voters saying they’d vote for the hypothetical Democratic candidate and 40 percent saying they’d back the Republican.

At the same time, just 24 percent of registered voters overall said Biden should seek reelection. Fifty-nine percent said he shouldn’t, and the rest were unsure. By contrast, 29 percent said Trump should run in 2024, while 60 percent said he shouldn’t.

Conducted Sept. 2 to Sept. 6, the poll surveyed 1,634 U.S. adults weighted by gender, age, race, education, voter registration status and 2020 presidential vote. The poll had a 2.6 percentage point margin of error.

Trump Threatens Fox News With Lawsuit For Allowing ‘Perverts’ of Lincoln Project to Run Anti-Trump Ads: ‘See You All in Court!!!’
    https://www.mediaite.com/trump/trum...t-to-run-anti-trump-ads-see-you-all-in-court/

Former President Donald Trump continues to create business for legal professionals. Not only does he have a half-dozen legal entanglements, but he now appears to be threatening a lawsuit against Fox News for allowing political ads produced by vocal Never Trump group The Lincoln Project.

Trump took to his social media platform Truth Social to call out Fox News after he ostensibly saw an anti-Trump ad on the network, which he continually criticizes yet still tunes into!

    Trump wrote:

The Perverts and Lowlifes of the Lincoln Project are back on, where else, Fox News. I thought they ran away to the asylum after their last catastrophic campaign, with charges made against them that were big time sleaze, and me getting many millions more votes in 2020 than I got in 2016. The Paul Ryun (sic) run Fox only has high standards for “Trump” ads, but not for anyone else. The Perverts should not be allowed to “false advertise,” and Fox News should not allow it to happen. See you all in Court!!!

Trump appears to also be calling out former House Speaker Paul Ryan, who left office in 2019 and joined the board of Fox Corporation. He has, however, zero operational or programming oversight over Fox News.

Moreover, Fox News didn’t even sell a national advertising spot to The Lincoln Project, given the political advocacy group typically makes local ad buys through cable providers in, say, Palm Beach or Bedminster, New Jersey. (Update: Lincoln Project confirms that the ad that raised Trump’s ire ran “on cable news in Bedminster, NJ,” where Trump is currently residing. Fox News also confirmed to Mediaite that this was a local buy and they did not run a Lincoln Project ad.)

When reached for comment, Lincoln Project co-founder Rick Wilson told Mediaite: “In 2020, The Lincoln Project took up a long-term free lease in Trump’s brain. His threat to sue the Lincoln Project today is like Trump himself; impotent, flabby, and pathetic.”

Here is the ad that ran in Bedminster, New Jersey:

Bad news for the democrats. Donald Trump remains the odds on favorite to win the 2024 Presidential Election. Coming in right behind Trump is DeSantis.

Keep in mind, these are not bogus polls that are paid for by the democrat party. These are real odds made by real people putting up their hard earned cash.

    More idiotic polling data.

These polls are not meant to gauge public sentiment. They are meant to shape it, and more often than not, they are completely wrong.
