Ukraine has more connections to the Democrat base than the Republican base. Simply, Ukraine has more fears about the outcome of the current war with Russia if a Republican was in the White House. It's much easier for Ukraine to send an American sympathizer back to the States to take out former President Trump whom they perceive more as a threat than an ally. There are similar concerns between NATO and former President Trump...that's upsetting some in the Republican base. Think about this carefully, these Wars (Russia/Ukraine, Israel/Hamas) have more on the line than the U.S. Presidential election and some people will be desperate to make sure money (hundreds of millions of dollars) from the U.S. is still flowing to Ukraine or Israel. Simply, the FBI, CIA, and the Secret Service should be reviewing which Republicans have the most to gain with Trump out of the way, which Republicans from Trump's inner circle have connections to Israel or Ukraine especially any newcomers to that inner circle.
