He will re-appear as Senator from Florida or some other appointee position. He would have cut some kind of deal and that is fine.

 

I agree that he will be rewarded in some fashion. Perhaps this was the plan all along?

I don;t have a strong feeling about that- mostly because Trump has so many options now- unlike in 2016.

I would not be surprised to see Trunp unwind Matt Whitakers appointment to Nato and run him through the process. Trump trusts him.

And would not be surprised to see Pam Bondi or Lara Trump appointed to Rubio senate seat. Desantis wants to please Trump and have his support not only as governor but to be on the right side of maga folks when he runs again in 2028. Lots of moving parts these days.

Mike Lee is quite qualified but Trump probably wants to save him for a court appointment. And Mike probably is not all that interested. Originally I wanted Johnny Ratcliffe as AG and still do but he seems to be off in intel security position now.

Interesting times.

Pam Bondi has spoken a lot publicly over the years in support of every position Trump has taken and the left would just cherry pick all those little comments to attack her. Yawn. Not sure she has any scandals. I think there was some scandal about taking donations from Trump allegedly to look the other way on Trump University stuff. I don't think it went anywhere.

 

The great thing about Gaetz is that he is total MAGA. I'm not convinced that Lee is. We need someone who will dismantle the DOJ and Deep State.

 

That is true about Mike Lee. He is conservative but his loyalty is an intellectual one to certain conservative principles. He is unpredictable in regard to his backing of all things Trump. He is needed in the Senate anyway.
