in early 2000, there was this russian who stood in the 30yr option pit at the cbot, he was a chess master and diamond guy who lived on the north shore of chicago..... He was also a arrogant annd mean bastard who was no fun to stand close to ... Needless to say, It just broke my heart to see him miss his delta on 3k ITM calls he sold, then to watch the bonds rally about 2 points too bad the dumbass(not so smart now) just couldnt bite the bullett and take the loss,, instead he blew out that afternoon

One of my guys a fantastic trader up till then managed to lose over 200 million in the S&P in the space of a few months. It was 99 I think and he was short the spoo and kept me selling I must have sold 6-7k of the big contract around the high 800's. people say you couldnt do size yet it was no prob to sell 500-1000 to the locals in a clip those boys had some size on them.
