    Your answer is sloppy for the 2nd time. It has nothing to do with IB. At all firms margin accounts have a clause allowing your shares to be lent out.

    I wasn't shorting. I was selling stock I already owned from the the day before.

    And IB's program is different because you have to sign a separate agreement.

    Yes, worse for Etrade route;
    but a limit order around a round number can be exactly the same. Part of it is mostly likely $5 barrier problem.I'm not really still sore about Etrade charging me for their free toll free[1 800] @ the time number; but others need to be aware of that....................................................................
    A buy by MS bankers may solve some of those problems.
