Subject says it all. Curious as to the various explanations for a particular stock to have triple average volume, 20% gain on no news while the other 2 or 3 companies in their sector were normal.

    Thanks.

  2. If you gave the stock symbol then someone here might be able to give you more useful information than the usual "more buyers than sellers".

I left it out intentionally because I only really wanted generic reasons as to what could be causes of it.

EDIT: Besides the obvious "more buyers than sellers."

  4. Could be dyslexia. Go ahead, laugh. First thing I would check would be similiar symbols.

There is probably news, you just don''t know what it is. Maybe the public will find out in a week or maybe not for months.

I'd already checked on that. All fairly normal except the June 5 calls which had 10x open interest in volume; but that only totalled 1000.
