i am closing this journal and starting another one. my tribute has ended. i do not think it is misplaced. Brooks has helped me a lot. as has IamTheCasino BROOKS does understand what he is doing but he is not able to make others understand... he does have good intentions IMO and and should not be publicly flogged
padutrader, one question, I'm sure you've answered it before, but lots of pages here. If this is your third Brooks journal, how did your first two end up, performance wise? Up, down, big, small, etc.? Thanks!
down but this one is up trading is not easy.....and i am very bad at it.......i have been trying to make lot of money and i do not think it is possible to do that trading anything....i mean even things like cars ,pneumatics,special purpose machines ...i mean like anything. i do not think anyone gives you a magic formula ..Brooks Pring Bolinger Hansen Elliot..to name a few
see all these names above..do not tell or show you how to read context. he does not even define it that is one problem with Brooks......he assumes you know certain terms or he does not know how to explain them.....he obviously knows it perfectly but what he doesn't know is how to explain what they are as if to a child Brooks has written millions of words but no focus on how to determine context. context is determined by buyers and sellers......strong buyers and sellers may be clearly seen on the chart . determine those. and then you have your context.then it makes sense to look for set ups.
I was convinced we corrected last week than crash incomming next weeks, but we started the month with a crash to trap sellers at low price then we go back up and at end of month gold down again. Im expecting gold to 1800 than drop to 1600/1500.
however many times i leave Brooks..... i keep coming back to him. i am now using his H2 and L2 [ in plain language for the benefit of those who never heard of Brooks this means entering after a corrective move has finished :this method was first used by Adam and Eve in the Paradise so it is no great invention] to make entries for scalping.
