Brooks opinion about measured moves is very clear.....he takes them with a pinch of salt...i do too...i prefer exiting on some other signal
closed...tired of this grave yard market ...good time to take a break..tired eyes, mind and tired of posting
You are missing opportunities again ( 2 so far) ! When you posted this message, gold ( and also silver & perhaps bonds) was going down indicating that it might go down again (and again?). If you had waited for a little longer, you could have benefited from the next shorting opportunity.
Maybe you are a trading Yogi or maybe not. Few people on ET took the time to read carefully between the line and filter out your self deprecating comments about you trading outcomes. Once I filtered them out I saw a lot of great trading wisdoms. Whether you are a trading guru is really not that important. I just need to gather them up so they can work for me. best wishes.
it takes a longtime to put it all together.......that is my personal experience with Brooks.....i am getting there as my journal should show from now on.......it is one thing to collect or have trading wisdom ............quite another to apply it in the live markets to make money.
i am not a machine or robot to trade 24hours a day. and my method of trading is not a system i can trade with my eyes and brains closed. i had to take my wife out for some job she could not do alone......but what i said above applies always. Brooks says he can concentrate for 6 hours....i trade for 12 hours usually.. after that i just cannot focus unless the market is clear....and it was anything but clear
