@padutrader has my respect. He is a gentleman, kept his cool in spite of many here who gave him a hard time. Don't forget, you said he failed only because he said so. There is zero evidence he failed. Far from it. Anyone who understands Brooks cannot be dumb. I read the book many times, even then, still don't understand his method and still cannot trade like Brooks.
i am wondering if it is necessary.....no insult to brooks.... i have traded Pring Elliot demark fib Hansen Bollinger Rashcke but ultimately the market keeps doing the same thing but different people see it different ways. the best traders, the enlightened ones, trade the way they see it. the market keeps doing some very simple things... breakout of S/R....pull back to breakout area.....break out again above the pull back extreme....... if you wait for these points you will do ok.......it can get confusing sometimes because the market does this on multiple time frames
i am going back to basics.... ....most times there is a range or congestion.....S/R..... break out and then S becomes R or BO R becomes S market keeps repeating this..... simple edge even brooks says traders should swing...he has said that he scalps to pass time waiting for swings to set up..bigger moves take time to develop A handful of patience is worth more than a bushel of brains. Dutch Proverb decided to throw a bushel into the dust bin
it is really quite simple if you use some trading common sense and look through some of his terms like H2 [which is a two leg pull back entry]. if you use his basic set up..... buy enter which is buy above a good looking bull bar to enter what may be a swing up .........it is not very difficult to understand
