brooks trades by considering context first and then set up [to control risk]. he uses 20 ema to judge context and i have added 8 ema to judge shorter term context. i found this helps me personally. As Seykota says 'if you cannot measure it you cannot manage it' let me clarify: while it is true i have been studying Brooks since 2007,at the same time, i have been studying many others and other things in connection with the movements of the markets. i have found Brooks to have the most in depth record of all conditions in the market to enable the trader to make trading decisions.
Nothing you are doing is remotely Brooks-based. I would hope no one reading your journal mistakes anything you have to say about Brooks and his method as an accurate reflection of Brooks's methods.
