This is what my reply to @Onra is meant to mean. I bought Brooks's trading course a couple of weeks ago. I don't see much here that looks like what I see there. My impression of Brooks is that he makes things very clear. I don't see that clearness here. To be honest.
interesting ...@numberz continues to look for traders who are following Brooks' teachings very strictly & precisely have strong belief / faith in Brooks' teaching
Of course. He said he was going to gives brooks methodology a fair shot. How can he if he deviates from it?
Maxinger's post disappears when I log in. Why is that? Yes, @volpri I want to give Brooks a fair shot. My goal is to understand Brooks as he presents his stuff. No other way for me to evaluate it. Maxinger says i have strong faith in Brooks. I have no reason to doubt. But the only way to test a method fairly is to follow it accurately. Fairness to the method isn't faith. In my opinion.
definitely, it makes sense to study those materials seriously and apply them seriously. I have gone through this phase before. So I understand your position. I have thrown away my trading books and decontaminated my mind from the wrong teachings. anyway, if Brooks's strategy works for you, do treasure it.
in a way brooks is simple if you follow him strictly. like sell below bear bars that close near low. simple. add a little context and you have a simple and powerful method. add a few 'special bars' like outside bars ,inside outside inside, inside inside : O.....ioi......ii........and it gets better
