I'm guessing there's probably 10K gun (non-accidental) related deaths each year in the US....... this one however is covered adnausium by the MSM, even here on the ole ET, what 4-5 different threads?

Seems the story is being purposely reported in an effort to separate and polarize the country.

    Ask your self why............ sheeple.

So in summary everyone can only assume that you oppose a proper investigation and grand jury meeting for this shooting?

This means that you support the view that it is acceptable for anyone to shoot black teenagers and not have a proper investigation performed.

When you assume you just make an ass out of yourself. There is just no point in dealing with your made up story. You can't offer a single shred of proof or informaition for your view. That's it. YOU LOSE!!!!

What do you think this is? Last person who posts wins the argument? Don't be so childish.

  4. To start a race war? To make the gun manufacturers rich? Oh wait, I know! To distract attention from the question of where Obama was born and the fact he is a Muslim!!! It's brilliant!

Who threw the first punch? Even if Zimmerman attacked first, the 911 call where he pleaded for help, indicates he withdrew from the confrontation. If Martin pursued after and attacked (which corresponds with the evidence), Zimmerman had a legal right to defend himself. Now if Zimmerman had initiated force, and Martin had a gun, Martin could have lawfully defended himself. But the point here is, if somebody punches you, and then retreats, you can't chase him down and beat the hell out of him and claim "self-defense". It doesn't work like that, in most States. The attacker has to be engaged and pursuing the victim in order to be self-defense. But all this depends on State law.

My view is that a proper investigation needs to be performed by state & federal authorities and then a grand jury session held.

This is actually what is occurring in this case. My view very much matches the story line known as reality.

The Sanford police chief and local prosecutor have been removed from office because they totally failed to properly investigate this case. Now competent authorities will carry out the investigation including Florida's top criminal prosecutor.

So you oppose a proper investigation being performed and a grand jury session being held? That is all that the majority of sane Americans are seeking.

Zimmerman was not arrested or charged and is free without any restrictions. If I was him I would get on an airplane, leave the country and disappear into Europe or Asia while he still has a passport.

That makes sense if the sentiment and baseless judgemental attitudes exhibited here are representative of the USA in general. He should split immedietely.

There is no evidence that Martin pursued Zimmerman and attacked. The only evidence is that Martin gained the upper hand after a physical confrontation started and landed up on top of Zimmerman.

Certainly if someone attacked you and you landed up on top of them after they assaulted you then you have the right to punch them & hold them down until they stop attempting to assault you - even if they are screaming for help like a little girl (which I would view as an attempt by the assaulter to have more people attack me).

Now let's look at the FACTS of this case in the way a legal counsel would list them out.

    1) Based on the location of the shooting, Zimmerman's explanation that he was walking back to his SUV appears to be not true.

    2) There was a verbal confrontation before the physical confrontation (based on the information from Martin's girlfriend who was on a cell phone call with him).

    3) It is not clear who started the physical confrontation. No independent eyewitnesses or physical evidence demonstrate which party started the physical confrontation.

    4) Martin gained the upper hand in the physical confrontation and was on top of Zimmerman hitting him (eyewitness from 911 call #4 of 8). The physical injuries to Zimmerman also appear to confirm that this is true.

    5) Zimmerman was the person heard screaming in the 911 calls. Several independent people have confirmed the voice as Zimmerman's and not as Martin's at this point.

    6) Zimmerman shot Martin

    7) Martin is dead of a bullet wound.

So you believe that Zimmerman should flee the country rather than face the justice system. This does not demonstrate much support for believing he is not guilty of criminal actions in this shooting.

There is a long history of criminals who flee justice overseas; everyone from financial scam artists, to pedophiles, to murderers.

Here is a hint, Zimmerman better flee to a place with no extradition treaty if he does not want to be flown back and face court (if the grand jury indicts him).

With all respect towards your normally rational postings you are embelishing with extreme bias. That is simply not the events stated by the eyewitness and by Zimmerman and the police believed what they were told. Are you a better investigator than the Sanford police?
