Treyvon Martin: A NON-STORY

  1. Not sure if biased is the right term... Outraged is more on point.

We have a case of an over zealous neighborhood watchman playing judge, jury and executioner. Whose authority was he acting under... the authority granted to him by the Lone Ranger? What right or business does Zimmerman have to even question any teen without their parents present?

There is nothing wrong with a vigilant neighborhood watch... use cameras and record suspicious activity. This was a senseless murder or at minimum Zimmerman should be charged for murder and can defend his actions in a court of law.

There is something fundamentally wrong with what went down at the execution of this teen. Racial bias was displayed by Zimmerman on his 911 calls and he clearly instigated the confrontation after being instructed not to. How ever this plays out in the judicial system really doesn't matter as the damage is done.

  2. Zimmerman did nothing wrong. He was protecting his neighborhood and shot dead a suspect.

    This is the law.

Why don't you go a few posts back and read what the authors of the law think about Zimmerman.

The two authors believe that Zimmerman has not protection under the "Stand Your Ground" law, and Zimmerman should be arrested for shooting and killing unarmed teen Trayvon Martin.

  4. The authors are in deep do do and they know it, at least one is a lawyer. Now ya think lawyers might write bad law?

The law is the exact replica of "Stand Your Ground" laws that are used in other states. Same wording and principles. I don't think this is an issue with "bad law". Are you stating that every "Stand Your Ground" and "Castle" law is bad law? These laws have regularly been held up in higher courts.

The issue here is that the "Stand Your Ground" law does not apply to Zimmerman's actions. You cannot go aggressively chase someone down and then claim self-defense when you shoot them - as stated by the authors of Florida's law.
